But from the sounds of it, this is a scam, claiming to be from Wells Fargo, that is phishing for information. So why am I getting calls from "Wells Fargo"? I don't have an account with them, and never have had an account with them.
I fact, the closest I've ever been to having an account with them is that when I moved to this state (1989), I went to First Interstate Bank to get an account, because my parents had accounts in both of the other banks in town. They wouldn't accept the new title on my truck as proof of address (DMV didn't ask me for _any_ proof of address) ... they insisted I had to have a utility bill to open an account, and since I was staying with my parents at the time, none of the utility bills, at a home in which they had lived since 1973, were in my name.
Wells Fargo bought First Interstate a few years later. - Ann replies to TessThat's who he said he was to me this morning as well. Said he was calling in behalf of US Bank and wanted to send a gas voucher in exchange for some information. I said NO and hung up. Such an invasion of privacy on a phone we pay for!

- AnnoyedAlso replies to BradI receive these calls from Beckley,WV too -- I do have an account with Wells Fargo but I ONLY requested supplemental insurance info from AARP -- not sure which is now bugging me but I doubt IF I gave my phone to AARP on mail-in form -- feel so violated. Is everyone a senior aged citizen who is getting these calls from 304-250-3916? Please explain how they can continually keep getting away with this annoyance & time consuming issue? Thanks!
- MikeThis is a telemarketing room that solicits for other financial institutions.
The go under the guise of you being a "member" but all they are trying to do is get an additional $9.999 a month? Nonsense, don't fall for it- Caller: Ocwen

- BarbieAnnoying calling. Usually happens around the dinner hour. I just answered and said, "Hello", there was no reply, so I hung up. This isn't the first call this "unknown" has called. I usually let voicemail pick up the annoying calls, this time I answered to a blank response. I wish this person (s) would find something better to do with their time, besides bother me and obviously a great number of other folks, as well.

- David Burkhart| 1 replybeen getting calls form this number for months. typically disregard. We are registered on national do not call list. after reviewing other complaints on other websites, understand the caller states they are with Wells-Fargo, but when you call the number from another phone, the answering service states they are insurances services company.
This appears to be a telemarketing scam and may be wanting information for using phone number to make third party calls and bill to your phone according to other website accounts.
Time for the FCC and FBI to get involved with this. Please register complaints as I have done at-https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088!createComplaint.action- Caller: Unknown-Beckley, WV

The thing is, it's not just Wells Fargo customers they're after. I've never been a Wells Fargo customer. When I moved to Oregon, First Interstate Bank (which was later bought out by WF) didn't want my business. They insisted that in order to open an account, I had to have a utility bill in my name. I was staying with my parents, and all the bills at taht address had been in their name for years. The title to my truck (for which DMV didn't require any "proof" of address) wasn't good enough for them. - BobKeep on getting phone calls from this number, since I don't recognize this number I let it ring and after fourth rings it stop. It is annoying to keep on receiving calls from this number.
- KenSanDiegoCalls almost every day. I use RingCentral so I just added the number to my blocked caller list now that I know who it is (thanks to all you fine folks!).
