I was called yesterday at 1636 and today at 1255.  Yesterday they said they were from the IRS department (SCAM), I told them I had already been scammed by a company like their's before and that the IRS does not call you they contact you through mail or show up at your house.  Today the same number calls me and says they are from the fraud detection department in New York City.  It is such a scam, do not talk to these people when they call.  I will be reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission.

9/1/08 I received a similar call today at 10:29am from the same number, claiming to be from the fraud department & wanting to return money that had been fradulently charged to my account by a telemarketer.  They asked me to verify the amount that had been charged.  When I told them to send me something in the mail, that I didn't trust an unsolicited call, they hung up.  I will also be reporting this to the FTC.

I too got a call from the "fraud department", from someone with an East Indian accent.  I immediately asked what financial institution they represented, and it was enough to have them hang up.

I got a call today same number 305 201 3760, they said they were calling from fraud detection agency, and asked my name and couldnt hear anything....I hung up.

Just got a call from that same number from the IRS supposedly. Definately an Indian accent. Had an old address of mine also which was scary. Luckily the call dropped.

go a call from this # no message.  when you call it back - the recording says that the Beepers to Go Number you have dialed is on longer in service.

I got a call from this number for a lady with heavy Indian accent informing me that I was going to receive a $5,000 grant.  She claimed that it was from the US Government and it was free of charged.  She proceeded to verify my address, then age, then when on to say the money would "transferred" into my account.  When I said that no money money would transferred into my account, that a check could be mailed if they wanted to send me anything.  Amazingly, the call ended!

i got that call today its a monney scam.they claim the gov wants to give you $5.000 grant.i told the guy he had the wrong number.he still wanted to get my personal info.

I called back and it said the same thing, some beepers to go message

I received a call from this number today.  I asked for the website info.  they gave me http://www.gicservices.net/services.html.  From what I can see they are a consumer credit counseling company trying to earn your business, and will stop at nothing.  The rep I spoke with got very upset that I asked for the website into, and where I can find info about the government grants.  He told me that all he could do was tell me about it.  I did not verify any info with him, and they hung up on me.  If you ask questions at all they just hang up.  The sup they put on the phone was from india as well.  The phone number on the website is 888-350-3113.  I tried to call the number on the website, and it is temp disabled.  This is a SCAM

I have received a call from this number numerous times, I told her I wanted something in writing, she hung up!

I too have been receiving these calls for 3 days now... The guy claimed I was going to receive a $5000 grant. He asked if I have heard of their company before, I said NO... I asked to be removed from the call list and he refused, he stated he could not put my number on a do not call list.
I told him if he didn't I would! He hung up. He also had a heavy Indian accent.

Scam call. They claim to have a $5000 government grant for me then they mine you for personal info. Called my cell.

how do i report this call to the ftc?

305-201-3760    they call as many as 15 times a day.  they say I have a $5000 grant and want my personal information.  when I tell hem I am on the Do Not Call list, the man with the deep Indian accent said f_ _ _
you, I can still call you.  I have reported the number to the FTC and FCC but no one seems to want to listen.

Very similar situation. The man had a heavy accent and claimed he represented a company called Payless Solutions. This is a scam and it's unfortunate that they keep calling my cell phone.

A guy with a heavy Indian accent also called me from 305-201-3760, stating that he was from Payless Solutions and that I was supposed to be getting a $5,000 from the government but he had to check to see if I was a U.S citizen, so he wanted to know my name and the last four of my social. I told him that don't give out that info, I was looking up his bogus a** company while we were on the phone and all that was coming up was that it was SSSCCCAAAMMMSS SSCCCAAAAAMMSSSS!!! Then I started asking him questions about Payless Solutions and he became upset and evasive and I told him that he was nothing but a f***** scamming, crooked a** muthaf*** and not to call me anymore, and I hung up on him!!

Got a call today from "Grant's Payless Solutions". A guy with an Indian accent kept trying to tell me htey were part of the federal govenment. I told him they weren't part of the US government, that's for sure. He hung up.

Ok So I got scammed!!! India guy called me a month ago or so and said I was going to get 5k for gov. grant money. I gave him all my info. like a dumb ass. Well I checked my account today and they made a check that no signature is required and gat 400 of money from my checking. I know something was up with that India guy. The check was made to payless solutions. I called my bank and I have to fill out all this info. to get my money back. Don't fall for this!!!!!!!! I hope they get this India guy and kick hiss butt back to the slums!!
