Suspected Spam - Received unsolicited call out of area code!

Received call @ 11:49 am est (sunday)  did not pick up unfamiliar number & no message left. Suspect spam caller. blocked !

Called, but I did not answer. No message left on voice mail. Caller ID read "MIAMI DADE CNTY." Google search shows that this number is a legitimate number for Dade County, FL offices. But I seriously doubt that this is a real call.

I answered and the male said hi grandma do you know who this is? I said no and he hung up.

Fake “Grandpa I’ve been in an accident!” Call. Played with this guy for awhile Before letting him know that I have no grandchildren and laughing at him. This is the dumbest scam yet

Call to my wife while I was out of house.  She was told our son was calling and he was in big trouble at Miami-Dade Jail, arrested for drunk and reckless driving.  Called our son's wife and she told us he is at work in Lincoln, NE.  My wife was sure she talked to our son during this call; she certainly did not talk to him.

Well it seems they are starting this scam back up because I got a call from this number today.  I didn’t answer because I don’t know anyone in Miami area then looked it up here.  Definitely a scam.

I got a call from this number as well during my lunch hour. I said hello and he said hello. I said who is this and he said it's your grandson. I said who? He said your grandson. Don't you recognize me? I said do you have a name? He said Kurt. I hung up because I have very young grandsons and I knew this was a scam. I played along for a little while. Caller ID only said Miami, FL.

Some piece of [***] called my mother pretending to be her grandson (my son). Told her that he was in trouble, not to say anything to mom (me), and just wait for the lawyer to call and tell her what to do next. Next thing you know, some [***] calling himself "Adam Weiss" calls and starts telling my mom that her grandson was in a car accident and seriously hurt a pregnant driver in the other car.  Something about the bond... but my mom doesn't speak very good English and became so confused and frightened that she got his number, hung up and called me.  I called this "Adam Weiss", he was confused who I was... Long story short, I verbally ripped him a new one, then filed a report with FBI.  Hope this mofo gets caught by the balls and hung upside down for eternity for causing stress to the elderly (and not so elderly) people.

Got a phone call from this number telling me we need to speak in private. That an investigation is going on i contacted one of his girls. I dont recall any identification and when i put the phone speaker just repeats we need to speak in private and that there is a warrant for me. Called first from 3052751155 then from a 080117172 number. Aftrr i hanged up never called back. The number also called the day before and no voice message was left telling me anything about contacting them or anything in general. Wierd considering that there is a warrant for me?  Why not lleave a voicemail message? I dont know if this is real or not

Got a call couldn't pick the first time, second call occurred couldn't hear it, third time was the charm, dude speaks Spanish. when I said I don't speak Spanish he hung up. I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW THEY CAN USE LEGITIMATE PHONE NUMBERS TO SCAM PEOPLE !!!!!

Received a call from 305-275-1155. Caller ID read “Miami, FL.” Received a call from a man with a Spanish accent. Speaking fast, so I had difficulty understanding. He stated I had a warrant for my arrest.  I’ve never been to Miami and had no idea what he was speaking about. I relayed that message to him and he said I would have a warrant sent!?!?!?
He told me I could look up the number he was calling from, I didn’t bother because I had no idea of the subject matter he was discussing, as well as the number showing in my caller ID.

Called said that I had an active warrant. Last time I was in Miami I was 2. So highly doubt it number pulled up the court house but is definitely a scam 30 mins later I got a call from Atlanta saying the same thing. Never even been in Atlanta.

Explained there was a missing girl that I may be involved with and that I would have to present in court. Asked for $500; I said I'll speak to my lawyer. Was pushy. I sensed a scam so I told him to arrest me. He couldn't even give my name

I got the same weirdo call today drove all the way to the CUTLER BAY MDPD AND HAD THEM RUN MY INFORMATION TO SEE IF THERE IS A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST THE OFFICER SAID NO AND SAID WHEN WE WANT YOU TRUST ME YOULL KNOW WE JUST COME GET YOU

Call for an arrest warrant similar to the others on here. Had me go to a bitcoin machine to insert cash, that’s when I called the bitcoin 800 number on the front of the screen. At that point they hung up. Bitcoin ATM representative said 99.9% sure it’s a scam. They were really good and convincing on the phone. Almost got me for $200.

They called me today from (305) 275-1155 phone number and the guy was american and really sounded like someone from the police department. He said there is a warrant, arrest and investigation on my name and that is not a game, it is very serious. He also said I should go on google and check the phone number to see he is calling from the police to verify him.

I asked him many times what my name is and he wa not able to give it. That's when I hang up. However, it was VERY scary and he really sounded as a police officer as his voice was american.
