- CW| 1 reply1-305-368-8901 Called me today, I answered. The recording said something about lowering interest rates on credit cards to 6%. I pressed 9 to get a "representative". I told the man (who sounded like he was middle eastern) that I would like my number removed from his list. He sounded confused at first, so I repeated my request. He sounded angry and told me it would cost me $50 to have my name and number removed. I advised him that I would not be paying any fee, and that I would contact the proper authorities to report harassment if the calls continued. He responded by saying (forcefully) "I told you it will cost you $50". I politely told him that as an American citizen I have the right to request that I receive no further calls from his organization, and reminded him again that I will contact authorities if I continue to receive calls. He then responded " Go Ahead!" And hung up on me. Really getting tired of these calls!!!
- Caller: Unknown -- out of Miami
- Robin BanksThey called my cell phone, I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message. That's how you treat them IF YOU CAN. Answering the call informs them that the number is valid.
- me replies to CWgood for you!
- CRB ShumateI just recvied this call ( my second scam call of the day) coming from this number with a woman's voice on it claiming to lower my credit card rates on Visa to 6%, and to speak to an operator by pressing nione. I presed nine, and asked the operator if he ahd heard of the Do Not Call List. There was a long pause of silence. Then the youg man, who sounded effeminate, asked me how old I was, to which I answered "old enough to be your mother, sonny boy." There was laughter, and I exchanged verbal epithets and barbs, concluding with the fact that i was going to report him to the FTC. I just filled out the Do Not Call List report. This call cannot be legitimate from any credit card company. My company never calls me at home; and, besides, the rate offered was the same rate i am already paying and not any kind of bargain.
- Caller: supposedly Visa but a scam
- Call type: Telemarketer
- mooseI did not answer. There was no message.
