I have received various phone calls from a so called company by the name of Barron, Gibson and Phillips threatening me that a case is open with my district attorney on debts that are linked to my name and social security number. After listening to the voicemail it advises me to call 855-315-0695 to get more information. This company is a scam they are trying to get your information to collect money that you supposedly owe. When I requested certified mail to prove that this debt was my responsibility an individual by the name of "Simone Harris" got loud, unprofessional and straight out nasty with me. To the point where she threaten me and hung up on me since she was upset. She would change everything I would say and talk over me. According to their company policies they can only send you an email or letter once you have agreed to make these payments on the accounts that they are accusing you of owing. This is a ridiculous protocol because they are expecting people to just provide their personal banking information for their company to be in control of to set up automatic payments. You have to be real naive to just provide someone this information without having actual proof!!!!!! Simone Harris should be careful how she speaks to people because she can get sued herself for her nasty threats. Not sure how these people reached me at work, but i am assuming they must have called my HR  dept since they got my direct line. These calls need to stop because i have written documentation that this account was settled and nothing is due. This company NEEDS to STOP performing illegal actions and stop harassing me before i sue them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annoyed, know your rights and how to handle these "people" (note, I use the word in quotes).  Read the FTC's suggestions on handling debt collectors and determining if they are legit.  It gives you instructions on what to do.  You may want to file a complaint too.  Here's the web page:
