- Kevin replies to Georgia GirlI got scammed by this guy too! Just yesterday, He said his name was Phil Stuart, Miami, FL. Promised my Oregon vs. Oregon St. tickets, $300 he got out of me.
We should unite and take this guy down!!! I am so angry! We should be calling up western union. 1-800-235-6000. I never gave this guy my MTCN confirmation #, how did he get the money out?!
I think someone inside Western Union may be in on it.
We should also be calling the Maimi Police. (305) 579-6038. They should have someone on the case if he is doing it to so many people. - KevinI got scammed by this guy too! Just yesterday, He said his name was Phil Stuart, Miami, FL. Promised my Oregon vs. Oregon St. tickets, $300 he got out of me.

Told me his name is Scott Meyer and he is in Miami.(1st flag I missed). Told me his dad was a deceased professor from UT, (although "Scott" didn't go there - 2nd flag I missed) I thought I was buying his deceased professor dad's 50 yd line seats that had been in the family for 30 years!(3rd flag). I feel so stupid! He says that his wife is a nurse and they are expecting twins - a boy and a girl in a month, they lost a pregnancy last year, works for Marriott, hopes to get back to Texas in 2012, etc. Way too good to be true. (- 4th flag)I could even hear his NY accent!! (5th flag)Told me his address was 18 Ocean Blvd, Penthouse #2, Miami FL 33184. Walked me through the paperwork, etc. (6th flag)
SOOO glad I didn't buy all 8 seats he was offering!! I called Western Union and filed a fraud complaint. They said the money was picked up in Miami Beach, FL 33141. Called Miami police - very nice officer told me to contact my local police and they take it from there.

- CharleneSame thing, a few variations. I did not fall for it, fortunately, but this guy is still out there. His offer was $225 each for 40 yard line SEC championship tickets. The name he used this time was Doug Rosen of Miami Florida. Same scam with going to Publix to fill out the form with him on the phone to "walk me through it", said they were family tix inherited from father being prof at UF for 30 years, couldn't go to game because wife was having twins that weekend. What a scumbag!

Said he was an architect and he had 8 tickets from his DEAD FATHER. wow. This seems like a Federal Crime. I didn't fall for it. Thank Goodness for this site and other folks taking the time.... - Josh Lexington KYJust received call. Didnt fool me. Game me this same #3056279328. Told me he was an architect. Played along with this scam, told me he wanted me to go to kroger and pay with my debit card. Total fraud.
- Bama Girl| 1 replyHe used the name Chad Miller & the number 305-672-9328. I am so stupid but it was so rushed. Same story as he used with GA girl. (30 year BAMA season ticket holder, father a retired professor, etc) This just happened about 2 1/2 hours ago, Dec 7th. I got a sick feeling as I was driving away from the Piggly Wiggly where I sent the money from to that creep. A lady at work that was thinking clearly & googled the number where she found this website. I have posted a warning on craigslist so other people hunting BCS championship tickets won't be scammed & also sent a message from me to tell him before they hangup on them. I am not going to say the amount he scammed me for $1,616.I hope he is proud of himself. My family will no longer get to go to Pasadena.
- Kat replies to boymeetsscamartisti| 1 replyI wanted Rose Bowl Tickets so I posted a wanted add on Craigslist. This guy Larry Dube called me within 20 min of my post with just what I wanted. As soon as he sai Florida a bell went off in my head but I was so excited to find tickets at the right price I ignored it. He stayed on the phone the whole time. 750 dollars later I was screwed. I have two kids and now no money. I want his head on a spike in my front yard. I am calling the FBI and anyone else from that has been scammed by this guy can help me with info and testimony. Email me at krista_eubanks@yahoo.com
How terrible a person to pray on excited ppl with their dreams dashed. - Kat replies to KatI called the FBI and they gave me this web site, www.ic3.gov , we all need to contact them and report so that this will stop happening to innocent ppl.
- Brett replies to aliasThanks for all your posts. Kept me from falling for his gig. You want to believe people are honest. I called AT&T to see if they could track him. I don't know if they could or not, but they would not attempt to do that. They could block his calls, however I think I know not to answer "Private" anymore.
Thanks again,
Brett - DR| 1 replyHe just got me too. I was in a hurry and not near a pc to check out his story. $596 for celtics tix that dont exist. A lying a## hole.
- UNC Fan| 3 repliesJust got scammed by this MF. He used the name Lance Berger.
He said he had (6) mid-court tickets to the UNC basketball game in Chapel Hill on 1/16. He used the same type of story...
He said that he recently got transferred to Miami to work on the "new Marriott". He said his dad had been a professor at UNC for 30 years, and thus had access to awesome seats: section 109, row 10. He said he is keeping the season tickets even while they're in FL, in hopes that they'd move back to NC and use the seats again.
He told me that he'd send the tickets to me via Fed Ex COD. I would need to go to the grocery store & pay for the tickets & I would subsequenly mail the receipt for payment to him with the "confirmation number", which would be needed before he could get the money. I told him multiple times that I didn't know how "Fed Ex COD" works, which was probably a good sign for him.
He called me on his way to Fed Ex, gave me what I assume is a false tracking number. He asked me to go to the closest grocery store where he said they could do the COD receipt. He never mentioned "Western Union", which is probably a huge buzz word for scam. He staid on the phone line the whole time & helped me fill out the form over the phone. He told me he couldn't access the money without the "MCTN" number, which the Western Union sales guy confirmed. Since the Western Union guy told me that no one could access the money without the "MCTN", I decided to go for it.
Also while on the phone, he told me to expect Fed Ex to arrive between 10:30am & 11am the next day.
While I filled out the Western Union form, he told me to add a special question/answer. He made me ask the Western Union guy repeat back the question/answer aloud to make sure it was correct.
After issuing the payment, I got very cold feet. I called the guy's number, and the number just rings & rings. I went back to Western Union to see if the money had been withdrawn, and it had been withdrawn immediately after the transfer (no longer than 10 minutes after I did the transaction). I filed a complaint with Western Union right after this. They told me they could provide the Western Union location, etc. of the money withdraw if I file a police report.
I've filed a police report on this. - Got scammed too replies to Carolina Panthers| 1 replyContact Miami Beach police at 1 305 673 7945
