I returned the call, masking my phone number, and the woman answering the call claimed to be with Mitchell Bluhm and Associates, a rather shady law firm judging by their online reviews. Without knowing who was calling her (I hadn't provided a name or phone number) she told me they called to collect a medical debt. I politely told her I am a businessman who pays off of invoices - certainly NOT from statements, and certainly not from unknown phone callers not using a landline. I then told her if she was for real, she was welcome to send me correspondence via US Mail showing the service provider, location/date and nature of service. After she lost her temper I told her the coversation was ended and hung up. Any reputable company will contact you by mail; scammers dread doing so as it leaves a paper trail to prove mail fraud - a federal penalty.

A very similar situation as Gordon estated on the previous review, I returned a missed call and a lady answer and then transfer me to a very rude lady that after asking my name, etc. then asked if I speak English or Spanish (as if she was bothered by my accent) to which I answer "we are talking in English". (I'm from India, why would she ask me if I speak Spanish? maybe my last name). right after I said that she just went on screaming on the phone and finalizing with a hanging up on me, giving me no information whatsoever the reason for their call on a first place.
So just ignore this calls, rude people, scam, whatever the case is, is not worth spending time on the phone with this calls.
