FAKE IRS SCAM!!!   Do not answer...do not return their BS call...The IRS will NEVER call you wilt a recorded message.  They will use certified mail to contact you.  This is just another scam trying to dupe stupid people into giving them money.

Mid-afternoon 7/9/18 received call, dead silence then a recorded voice stating something about money owed to IRS &to call immediately.

Same as the others.  Didn't answer.  Left message (transcribed by phone into a text file):  "Hello we have been trying to reach you.  This call is officially a final notice fr the IRS Internal Revenue Services is the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number."  [***].

Same thing happened to me. I don’t think this was the first time I’ve received a call from this phone number. I’m on the National Do Not Call List, and confirmed I was still on it a couple of months ago. How do we stop these types of calls?  Better, yet what type of  ramifications can we take against these people?!
