Got a call from this number, titled "Advanis". They called a few times I did not answer and they didn't leave a message.

Call every night around 8 pm for the last week actually answered it and got hung up on after 2 rings blocked the number on my phone so now my kids can stay aslee

Number called about 4:10 - call display said 'Viewpoints' - no message left.  Reverse search shows it belonging to a John Bahr of Regina.

They called, I skipped. Reverse search shows John Bahr a couple blocks away from buddy. I called back and they said something about a cannabis survey for Health Canada. Sounded like a 'typical nerdy girl' reading a script. Bland voice, clearly annunciating her words. I ended the call when they said it was for Health Canada but were not sending information to Health Canada.

I was able to interact with her, she was a human.

Called today with ID of Bannatyne, doing political survey, want exact name & year of birth, no thanks to voice from the sky

The unknown number came up on my cell, so I did not answer. No message was left. I called the number back on another phone and the answering machine came on saying it was Advanis.

The reverse number lookup showed that the number belongs to a landline registered to the name John Bahr. I looked up the Webpage for Advanis and this is what came up:

Which is probably 99.99% wrong.  People change numbers, leave, die, whatever all the time and those databases are never updated assuming that they were correct to begin with.  Looks like this is a telephone survey.

Trying to do a telephone survey but repeated Canada several times in a row. Didn't seem legitimate.

I answered and they hung up. I called the number back and it was for a government survey about opinions on alcohol and drugs. I declined.

Why would you even consider calling back after they hung up? Its pretty obvious to a competent person that if someone terminates the call they want nothing to do with you. The scammer wasn’t even interested in you and then you called them back, for what? For them to scam you? Why would anyone want to be scammed and then complain about it. Grow up.

How is Canada not legitimate? Please explain…

If "they want nothing to do with you" they wouldn't have called in the first place. The call is possibly programmed to disconnect if there is no answer after a certain number of rings. And how did you reach the conclusion this survey is a scam? What happened when they called you?

If they were really that concerned about the call they received then they shouldn't have called back to engage with who ever was calling. Not all surveys are scams but some could be, it depends what the survey is or who or what company it's for. Pretty dumb to call a number back after calling you and then crying about it.

Your post makes no sense. If they were concerned about the call, why wouldn't they call back?
And you still didn't tell us what happened when you got a call from this number. Was it a survey?
