Commercial Credit Adjusters tries to collect OLD debts that are past the "Statute of Limitations" which means that you do NOT have to pay them.  Just ignore their telephone calls.

That is not what the Statute of Limitations says.

The Statute of Limitations limits the time they can take you to court.  The time is up, they cannot collect from you.  They can call all they want, do not admit, do not pay, no problem.

What does it say then?

Person calling doesn't say what they want I have bad impression about these commercial credit adjustors.

I don't trust anyone who can't say their name and especially the reason they're calling

Law states: each province is different BUT, they have to show name on call display, they have to only call during certain hours, if you say by writing only, they have to respect it.  3 years since last payment or acknowledging the debt… they cannot do any collection like garnish, etc. they can call all they want but can’t do anything. Do not admit to anything owed. After 7 years, it goes away completely. That’s alberta anyway.

How come you didn't include the laws for the rest of the Provinces?

Most likely that person lives in Alberta and don't know the Laws for other Provinces. Can't fault someone for not knowing everything related to debt collection practices, but knowing something is useful if it is accurate.
