CallerID said the caller was "IBMC", which I did not recognize. Caller said he was calling from Medicare. Since Medicare does its notifications through channels other than telephone calls, and does not identify itself simply as "Medicare", this seemed pretty obviously to be a scam (and the background noise, which was pretty clearly a busy call center, was another giveaway). The Wyoming area code on the phone number was pretty clearly spoofed, i.e., "neighbor dialing." I did not let the call go long enough to see if they were going to ask me for credit card information, personal data, etc. I'm categorizing it as a Medicare scam.
