CID: Home Security. No mssg left.

CID was a repeat of the number.  It is a landline in Cheyenne, WY.  We know no one there so we picked up and quickly hung up. (Poor man's zap!)

Got a call from these scumbags today. Then 5 hours later another call from a different number but the same worthless scum. Blocked both numbers but that's probably useless as they rotate numbers and may never call me again with either of these 2. But they certainly will call again.

If the government ever accidentally acted in our best interests (don't hold your breath) and caught these sorry SOBs I'd be all for inflicting a healthy dose of  "enhanced interrogation techniques" on their worthless butts.

Oh well...

They had the gall to call me at 7:15 AM this morning. They have called before within the last several months from these other numbers ((209) 642-4144, (213) 725-5669, (253) 245-2701, (253) 382-9083, (339) 502-6710,(760) 230-8767).  If you have a Teleblocker or similar device, put these numbers in, also. They have been reported to the FTC who is now using a new system to locate the true origination point of these type of calls. The prior technology only allowed them to trace back as far as the co-location router owned by companies that supply these scammers with the phone numbers that they use. The effort to shut down the companies that supply the phone numbers is difficult, as the agreements used to obtain these numbers have a waiver in them stating that the numbers will not be used for illegal telemarketing services and that the users will honor numbers on the DNC list (we all know how honest telemarketers are and that they would always comply with the waiver requirements that they signed!). Also remember that when the caller's recording says "press 2 to be put on our do not call list" it just simply issues a disconnect from their end to allow them more time to harrass others!

Yes, same recorded message left on my voice mail about a home security system.  Same spiel left on my voice mail from (469)251-2025 and (253)245-2701.  So probably some kind of system to evade detection as to where the calls are really originating from....See "Back Tracer" post.

CID said "Home Security," and the recorded message that started BEFORE my answering machine beeped (God, I hate that) said we'd won a free home security system. Suuuuuuuuure.

OK, they are wise to the pick-up/hang-up thing.  That's what I did this morning and the my phone immediately rang back from the same number.  This time I picked up and heard the recording say, "DON'T HANG UP!  Congratulations, your home has been selected..."  At this point I hung up again and did not get an immediate call-back.

CID said Home Security.  I have had an increasing number of these calls.  Whoever this is horrible, kiss my *&^!!!

807 this morning - really?! Same as other posters... caller ID said "home security".  I clicked the talk button immediately followed by the off button.  Seems like we need home security to prevent these [***] from calling us!!

Same here, caller ID said "Home Security" My husband and I call them unethical scumbags. The National Do Not Call List is a -bleeping- joke should be renamed The Feel Free To Call Any Of These Numbers Without Any Consequences Whatsoever List, time to invest in a new phone with call block feature for our landline it seems.

home security, if you call back it will say disconnected because they use the same service we do to ditch numbers. We can't ditch the number until they call then we add them. Filed a complaint with FTC

Call no message left

I get calls from these [***] several times a week. They sometimes leave a message that my machine cuts off and hangs up on them, or they hang up on the other end. Just another example of how our government passes laws and then fails to enforce them such  as the DNC list.

Answered and got the old "FBI reports that....". line

02/04/2013 9:32 AM. Caller ID said "Home Security". The recorded message identified the company as "Security Solutions" and offered to install a General Electric security system. The message starts with: ""DON'T HANG UP! Congratulations, your home has been selected..."

Just got a call from these morons.  No ID, no message.  Such a pain.
