Caller ID "CLIENT SERVICES", phone number showing up on our switchboard is 864 734 7995 (a local number).  There was a robo caller who said to press 2 to be connected to a legal representative immediately.  The call back number is (307) 448-6728.

I believe this is a scam

SAME AS ABOVE, WITH FILE #  RSG2558. HAVE BEEN CALLING EVERYDAY FOR 4 DAYS IN A ROW.

Caller ID "CLIENT SERVICES", phone number showing up on our switchboard is 307-448-6728.   A so called legal representative named Amber left threating messagas on my voice mail. The call back number is (307) 448-6728. Talked to Amber about leaving threating calls on my voice mail and she deigned calling. How else would I have gotten her name and number. She got mad and hung up. Funny how these people can call and make threats and get mad and hang up when you question them about it. She never did say what she wanted just legle action threats and how bad it would turn out for me!!!

Was a recorded message, like mentioned above, the number that showed up on the CID was 281-271-1877.

Same company different number. This one was 830-590-1155.

One or two calls a day looking for a person that had this number 15 years ago.  I don't know the person but I know this person had debt collectors against them when I first got the number.  Statue of limitations is long up on any debt.  Seems like if I answer in person, the call hangs up.

Legal action against me. If there was legal action bring it on.

This number comes up on my phone as "spam risk" so I never answer.  They are looking for Maria somebody, threatening legal action.  I finally called back today and said "someone from this number has called me multiple times" and before I could finish my sentence, they hung up.

Same as above - legal services.  What legal services?  What legal action?  Left a voicemail since I didn't pick up. Threats of legal action but did not describe what the action was for.  B.S.

619 area code (my area). I called them from a fake number. She hung up on me. I called back she said she didn't (same voice)

They have a summons for me for a CashStore loan I suppose to have taken out in 2015

Carrier Services and Process Servers do not know what is contained in the documents they are paid to serve/deliver. Anyone explaining what they are delivering, saying "matter attached to your SSN", "you have officially been notified"  or offering an alternative "solution" to avoid delivery is a scammer.

The vague scare tactic message is designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.
