call terminated upon my answering machine kicking in

Found it in my caller-id on February 9, 2010

rang twice and disconnected

Got a call from this number on my answering machine, but no message. I called the number back and a female answered, "Operator 32 Customer Service for the uhhhh....uhhhh....uhhmmmmm..." I said I wanted to know who was calling me from Casper, WY and she said, "oh...ummm...uhhhh... it's the Children's Wish Network. Thank you for calling back." Click.

phone rang and nobody there when I picked up.

called my house as well

I live in Mass.

Received call at 8:43 a.m. soliciting a donation (I am on the DO NOT solicit list).  I told the caller this and also advised her that it was not even 9 a.m. yet and that it was terribly rude to call people before 9, especially if you do not know them (and are asking for money).  It was the Children's Make a Wish Foundation she claimed...I will report if she ever calls again.

called back... an it jus rang and rang and rang.. so i put my phone on speaker for like 3 mins... still NA so i hung up. phone just showed it was from Wyoming

"Unknown Name" on caller ID---No message left on 2:07pm Tuesday 03/16/10

This number called my house - I have a non-published, unlisted number - and they didn't leave a message when they reached my voice-mail. I have never, ever dealt with anyone in Casper, WY and have no reason to start now! If this # calls your house - Ignore them.

Called my home today and hung up on answer.  Caller ID said Casper Wyoming.
Will ignore next time.  Sure would be nice to know why someone would be going to this trouble.  Perpaps they are just confirming valid households for some other purpose.

Continuously call and keep asking for someone who I have never heard of.  Have asked them to take me off their calling list but still continue to call.

This is getting crazy getting calls from this number. They call all kinds of times they dont careIm still in bed when they call or im going to bed this got to stop .THEY ARE NERVE BREAKING IDIOTS THAT WONT STOP.How do they get through if your on the no call list that dont make sence.Does that list really work or a joke?.

I was receiving constant, almost daily, phone calls from this number.  It comes up as either Unknown or WY.  I answered to see who it was and said I was not home, I then came here to this site to see who it was.  Finding out that it was charity, I decided to contact them to find out the name of their charity and if they fall under the do-not-call government list.  

I spoke to a lady who not very friendly.  The company name is Organization Development.  They are NOT a non-profit organization, but because they call "on behalf of" various non-profit groups, they do not fall under the Do Not Call list.  I looked this up and it is true.  However, I don't feel that it's necessary to harass people for charity.  call, leave a message, and leave it be.  This place calling so often is not helping the charities at all and I will be researching their company to let their beneficiaries know that they are giving them a terrible reputation.  I did not ask them to specify their clients by phone, so it is not verified by me that it is actually the Children's Make a Wish Foundation.  This company is making money though, I'm sure of that.

It's really sad, and I feel it is necessary for me to not have anything to do with any organization associated with companies that harass the public.

If you're in agreement, please contact your senators and congressmen and file complaints!  Also, if I find out which organizations are clients of this company; I will be letting them know what their partners are up too!  I would hope you all would as well.

There is a complaint registry on the Do-Not-Call government site if they continue calling after being asked to not call.  I will be utilizing this if they call again!

You can file complaints on the government Do-Not-Call site if they call before 8am...lol...should be 10am to be civilized!  I think anyway!

I just called, amazing.....I got the same operator "number 32". I asked what company she was with and she replied "you got a calll because we are a charity".

I said "well that's pretty vague, which charity?" (I had already read your post)

She said "breast cancer" and nothing more.

I said why is it my computer brings up "Childrens Wish".

She said "we are that charity as well" with a lot of pausing and thinking.

So I asked "are you the same people who called me last month giving me choices of  how much to donate?"

"um, that was probably us it it was Childrens wish" (it was)

I said "when I received the enevelope I put a letter inside that said I and only I decide how much money I give and to whom I give it. I find it offensive in this economy to have people laying guilt trips on me when I need to survive as well. You know and I know that charities are exempt from the do not call list unless a request is made to that company."

"I'll take you off the list sir"

I responded "you're a fraud, I know it, you know it and the FTC knows it"

Filed my complaint with the ftc and moved on

Got a call from this number this morning. Caller ID just showed "Wyoming".  I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message. Some people have posted that these people are raising funds for Children's Wish Foundation, and I have gotten several calls from them in the past. They want you to think that they are the Make-a-Wish Foundation, but they aren't. Children's Wish Foundation is a terrible charity and over half of its budget goes to pay for fundraising (approx. 46%) and administrative expenses.

Called but left no message
