- TJ| 6 repliesReceived a call from this number. An Indian gentleman, referring to himself as Alex Ray at Hartline? (at least that's what is sounded like ~ difficult to understand), wanted me or my attorney to contact him. I received another message like this, except the man's name on that call was Alex Weston, at a different number. This is a scam. If you have looked into, or filled out an application for any short-term loan, somehow they get your info. I reported the original message to the FCC, and intend to do the same with this one.
- unknown replies to TJyes they have done me the same way. How do youi get these people in trouble?
- Ms. Pitchers replies to TJ| 4 repliesI got this same phone call today, twice, He says his name is Alex Ray and that I needed to return the call to him and ask for Johnny. Because I have been through this before, I did not return the call. I am just gonna change my phone number and not do anything online that involves my cell or home phone number, I am just tired of the phone calls from these people!!!!! Which I didn't trust the internet so much with my personal business!
- TJ replies to Ms. PitchersI received another call today from the same man with strong Indian accent, claiming to be Alex Ray with Erikson & Markham Law Firm (which, as far as I can find, doesn't exist) called with all my information. I have never accepted any payday loans, though I did look into it. Somehow these people have my info. When I called, they would not give me the firm name and address, since obviously they are not legitimate. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) http://www.ftc.gov/ Hopefully if more people do this, we can shut them down.
- ThickI have received several calls from this number. They called my cell, home and work #. His name was Michael Williams and I also had a David Jones (all sounded Like they were from India). They did not name the company they represented, they just threatened me with jail.

I had my girl friend answer the call the 4th time and the man on the phone would not give his name. My girlfriend hung up on him. He(?) called right back and told my girl friend to tell me that we were both going to be arrested tomorrow. This is so silly. I wish this man could be arrested for aggravation and stupidity.- Caller: would not identify company

- Rick from PASam Richards, (Yeah, right) with such a heavy Indian accent, called threatening legal action and arrest. I told him my name was Sabu Ghandi, and he had the wrong number. These guys are a joke, and if you don't take the time and play with their stupidity, you can really make real [***] out of them.

- Flawless Victory| 2 repliesSO...my brother has gotten the same calls you all did, and in a panic, was about to give in to this bull. BUT, after talking with some friends, he realized that this was a scam, and in a panic, didn't see the obvious signs that it was. She told him, she'd be in the office for 40 more minutes and she'd call back. THIS is the conversation after he realized it was a scam:
Bro: Hello
SCAM LADY (aka ROSE): You get the money yet?
Bro: Um, no...but I think I'll just let it go to trial.
ROSE: Well good luck finding a new job after you get fired!! *CLICK*
She called back 2 hours later
Rose: Were you able to get the money to pay off your debt?
Bro: Um, yeah...I have an uncle who said he'll lend it to me, but it'll take about 3 hours. Can you wait that long?
Rose: Well, I'll be in the office for around another 3 hours or so.
Bro: Oh really, well that's great. But, what happens if I don't pay the money today??
Rose: Well the cops will be at your house at (says his full address) and arrest you.
Bro: Well, before you do that, can you tell me what the case number is?
Rose: Well it hasn't gone to trial. It's preliminary hearings, so there is no number.
Bro: Well how much do I owe, I have to tell my uncle a true amount.
Rose: The company didn't tell us how much you owe. It could be anywhere from 200 to 1000 dollars.
Bro: So how do I reference this information??
Rose: (now angry and impatient) 291672
Bro: Ya know what, I'll just take this to court and that'll be that.
Rose: Fine, whatever, good luck *CLICK*
THIS IS ALL TRUE!!!
SO, today, my brother and I decided to have some fun with these idiots. We called them back and I was the "Uncle" willing to give him the money to pay.
Bro: Yes, I have money I would like to pay, how much do I have to pay you so that I don't go to jail?
Rose: 596.80
Bro: Well, my uncle will be willing to pay 700.00
Rose: NO, you only owe the 596.80, nothing more.
Bro: Well, OK, but I thought my "loan" was for more than that.
UNCLE: Hello? Hello?, Yes, how much does he owe all together, because I don't want to give the money to him, because he obviously won't do the right thing with it. I'ma give it to you, so it's all said and done. How much does he owe EXACTLY to the loan company???
Rose: It can be anywhere from 200, 300, 20000 dollars.
Uncle: What do you mean "anywhere from"??
Rose: We're not concerned with what the amount from the company, we just want the money he owes to end the debt!!
Bro: Uncle, I'ma pay you back, let's just end this so I don't go to jail?
Uncle: Look here, I gotta put my money up, so I needs all the details, now what is your address Rose?
Rose: Just go to the Walmart!
BRO and UNCLE: WAL-MART??? For what?
Rose: Listen, go to the Wal-Mart and give me a call when you are gonna give us the money!
Bro and Uncle: Now, look you (BEEEP) We know this is a (BEEEP) scam and (BEEEP)
Rose: You will go to jail and die. You will not get a job! *CLICK*- Caller: 309-200-3795 erikson & markham law firm

- Flawless Victory-FATALITY replies to Flawless Victory| 1 replyOH, and by the way, what made us do this was after I saw this website and saw that all of you and more on other sites had be called by these smack-tards! You guys put your info out there trying to get a loan, and these (BEEP) are trying to take advantage of it. I'm sure there are elderly people getting scammed by these (BEEEP), and that pisses me off.
(THE STORY CONTINUES)
SO, we called back. It was surprising to see that they were still in full performance mode and were acting like that last conversation didn't happen. THIS TIME, we talked only to a man named "Travis"
Bro: Yeah, I just called about a bill I "owe" (Gives his info so Travis can look it up)
Travis: Yes, who did you speak with last?
Bro: Rose. I need to speak to that (BEEP) Rose and pay this money.
Travis: Yes, she is not available. I see that you owe 791.23
Uncle: NOW, wait a damn minute! Now I know the boy can't count worth a damn, but didn't Rose say that he owed 596.80?
Bro: Bring that (BEEP) back on the phone so she can talk and we can figure this out!!
Uncle: Boy, your mother didn't teach you to talk like that, so shut-up cussin' out folks. Let the man explain.
Bro: I'm sorry Unc. I just don't wanna go to jail today.
Uncle: Yeah, Mr. Travis, didn't ya'll say that the cops was coming? I don't see no cops, now what's going on? How much does he owe?
Travis: I'm sorry sir, my computer was down and I didn't know what she quoted you. Hold Please?
(as we're holding, we are still in character. I'm mad because I could be using this money to give to hookers. We talk as if I'm about to actually pay, just in case they were listening)
Travis: Your total balance is 791.23. That is with late fees, court cost and taxes. If you pay this today, the charges will be dropped and the account closed out. It will be done after you pay.
Bro: Ok...ok...but Like I said yesterday, I don't remember getting the money from the Pay-Day loan.
Travis: But that is not our concern. We must collect or we will prosecute you.
Uncle: So I have to pay almost 800.00 and this will be done? But now, what is the reference number for the case?
Travis: We don't have that information sir.
Uncle: Look, this is my money and I need to know where every bit of it is going. Economy is hard. Obama done messed every damn thing up, and I ain't got time to be losing track of my money. What is the number that you have in your little computer that I can associate with this 800 that I'm about to lose?
Travis: Hold please (after 5 min pause and us almost hanging up) the number is TC34-C478442-LN
(KEEP IN MIND- that Rose told him it was 291672)
Bro: (after acting like he copied the number) OK Uncle, I don't want to hold up their time anymore. Are you gonna give me the money or not?
Uncle: Look I gotta think about this.
Travis: (now frustrated) OK, what I can do for you is wait until you go to the Wal-Mart and give me a call back. That way when you're ready to pay, I'll be here.
Bro and Uncle: YOU KNOW THERE AIN'T NO DAMN DEBT!! (there are many explitives in part of the conversation) We're gonna get the cops to show up at your "OFFICE" and take ya'll to jail
Travis: IF YOU Don't want to pay, then that is your life. Good luck with life.
Bro and Uncle: (More explitives and revealing that we know it's a scam)
Travis: go to the Wal-Mart if you want to stay out of trouble OK? *CLICK* - About to have fun....Sooooo.....my gf just got a call from this number and called me freaking out cuz they said that she was gonna go to jail if she didn't get this fixed. I got home and asked her what all was said and could instantly tell that something wasn't right. So we decided to call them back after the last guy got upset and hung up on her when she started asking questions. When we called back we could barely understand what the hell the guy was saying in the first place and then he wanted to get an attitude when she again started asking questions like who this claim was through and where they were located. And that's where I had to step in. I asked him the same things and it seemed like once he knew that more than one person was on the call he tried to change his strategy and wanted to be like "you should remember you are talking to an attorney and should talk to me like that" First off, all we asked was for who this all was from so we could contact THEM to get this straightened out and it was like pulling teeth to get any answers from him (probably cuz he had to think up a lie to cover his ass) and secondly, I don't know any attorney's office that would be as rude and unproffesional as these guys were. So the more I think about it the more I think I'm gonna have some fun with these morons if/when they decide to call my gf again. I'll be sure to put our fun times with them on here for the world to laugh at.
