Just got a call from this number. Did not answer and no voicemail.

Caller "Catherine" from Academic Aid Center scammer on the premise of student loan forgiveness. Hang up the second you hear they can reduce or forgive your student. They charge you to do what you can do yourself for free. They actually don't do anything but take your money.

How do you do his yourself?

I asked them to put me on the do not call list and they said no

I got a message on Face Book for class action suit against former University I attended.  I had a 58 minute call from Kenzie Wayne who gave me her ext. number...I kept saying, what's the catch...Finally for $899.00 they can eliminate my student loan debt...I don't think so.  I told her I had no money & then came the "hardship case" I am entitled to...blah blah blah...If I had $899 I would pay my utility bills...Scammer

If it were actually what that person claimed it was, then you wouldn't need to pay anything.  It would have been handled by the court and the Department of Education.

Academic Aid called. his name was James- asked me a whole lot of questions about CTU that I attended. He told me I could have my CTU  loans discharged of if I would pay $899.00 in three payments to enter a law suit. He gave me his phone 310-289-1428 x104 and I Googled it. Scam!

A guy called me from a 918-777-9045 number who was claiming to be from the Academic Aid Center for loan forgiveness and sent me an email to have me reset my password to my Federal Student Aid login saying he needed to see my loan amounts and when I told him I didn't trust anyone over the phone accessing that he got a little frustrated gave me this number and told me to call back that there were several other people that needed to be called. I called the first number back and there was no ringing someone automatically answered the call and asked for my name.
