"The federal legislation of customer affairs and business regulations"

The ungrammatical name of the company and the unprofessional conduct of these people would indicate it's part of a pay-day-loan-debt scam.    I suspect the callers have pronounced accents and the 310 area code (LA county) has been faked.    Check "Latest Forum Threads" for "pay day loan debt scams."  This a very common scam and seems to be chiefly based in India.    The chances are very high you are being conned.

Brian Johnson from some mysterial lawfirm just called me and told me I'm being sued for not paying back a payday loan from Cash Advance.  This is untrue...I always pay them back.  He told me I was going to be served with court papers from the Superior Court on Monday (which can't be true since this would be a small claims or Municipal court hearing) and that they were going to report this to my company as well as my references unless I paid them today $542.32.  I told him to go ahead and serve me with papers...but I'm pretty nervous he knows something I don't.

Woooow!!! I just got a call from this guy (he was a foreigner)that states his name was Daniel Dunn and he stated to me that he was with the Federal Legislation of Customer Affairs and Business Regulations. The guy told me that I was being sued and they were bringing federal charges against me due to a payday loan. When I asked him for the case numbers he became rude and told me that they would be sending the FBI and CIA out for me.When I continued to question him about who he worked for and the cases he alleged that was standing against me,he hung up on me!! I called the Federal Trade Commission and put a fraud alert and flagged my social security number,I then contacted the credit bureau to flag my social as well.I called the Department of Justice to also report this scam that is being played on the working class citizens of the USA.

Andy Hund from Customer Affairs & Business Regulation called saying I owed some money to a company that had put money into my account of $445.32.  This never happen.  He asked that I get a lawyer and had to report to a California Court to get my name clear. If not payment would have to be paid.  He said in the letter to write that I did not have any intentions to run away with this money. It was apart of miscommunication so I am unable to pay the company back.

Kevin Saddis also called asking for the letter also.  I told him to call another number which was my lawyers number.  He hung up quickly.

I have received a call from this number and when i returned the call he said his name was 'James Peterson' with a very heavy accent. He blabbed about me owing some money for a loan, and that there was 3 allegations against me. I would have to appear in court in California and I would receive papers on MOnday. When i began to ask questions he would tell me to hold, then we were so called disconnected...eventually i just gave up calling back. Then I tried another number that i thought was similar to this one and talked to a David Cooper who claimed to be an attorney, he said about the same thing along the lines of JAmes Peterson, I asked about the so called charges and he was saying things like theft by deception, bad checks, crazy things...so i asked what company that i supposedly dealt with and he said cash 4 you incorporated...I indicated that i do not know this company and what he was saying was not adding up. I told him that my dad was a US marshall (god rest his soul) and he told me his dad was an FBI agent i asked his name and what location and division his dad belonged to he just said his name is Russell Miller of California. I did a search and found this link...

there happens to be someone impersonating an FBI agent and using that name so the scams must be linked somehow...BEWARE EVERYONE!

James Peterson from 310 359 1211 called me today. He said he was with a kaw firm and that I took a payday loan online and I am being sued on 3 counts(fraud, bad checks and something)...heavy accent so it's hard to understand. He told me with court fees, interest etc, I owe $1245.75. He said pay half or all to avoid someone coming to my job, arresting me and taking me to jail in CA until my court date. I asked the company and he said cash4u.usa and I said no, I've never heard of them nor dealt with them. He asked me to hold on and in the back ground, he told someone, "f**k you, motherf**cker." What kind if language is that for a law firm to use. He then came back to the phone and told me he'd call me back Monday with payment arrangements to get this paid. We hung up but I called back and someone named Attorney David Cooper said this when I asked for James Peterson....... "he NO wanna talk to you, you NO help." I began to go back and forth with this guy and asked what was the name of the law firm. He said "we no law firm, we work for Superior Courthouse of CA." I told him I would be contacting the BBB of CA to get the verify their legitimacy. He then got upset and begins yelling something about court...I hung up.

The same thing has happened to me. The man told me I was being sued for not paying back a pay day loan.  I could not understand a word he said.  He wanted to set up a payment schedule.  I told him to send me all the documents.  He told me the company had sent them to court already. Once I started questioning the validity of the call he cursed at me, threatened more action and hung up.  .

Yep just received a call from a John Anderson (310-359-1211) his accent was so thick that I couldn't get the company's name. He told me the same as everyone else that I was being sued and asked for my attorneys' name and phone number. When I told him that I didn't have it with me at work he told me to call back. What he didn't know was that I already was looking up the phone number from his first call on my cell phone and reading that it's a scam. Will be report this to the police, FBI, and credit agencies as well as my bank.
