- E| 1 replyI received the same call yesterday and today from this number, same details. Completely phoney and ridiculous. I am going to block the number, I have filed a police report, even though they can't really do anything. I also submitted the information over the FBI tip website.

- Sweets| 3 repliesThe person from this number called my place of business looking for one of my employees. She was upset and I took the phone from her because she was also pregnant. She stated that he told her she owed $5000 for a payday loan and if she didn't pay him right away over the phone he will send investigators to pick her up from the job and take her to court. My staff gave permission for me to speak and I informed the caller that if he had any info he had to fax it to my office. He became irrate stating that he needed to talk to her. I got just as beligerent and told him that he is not speaking to her and I would have my lawyer contact him and that my staff was not going anywhere or paying any money, not one red scent. He stated that it was not $5000 that if she paid $1200 he would make a deal. I repeated that she would not pay and from now on contact my attorney. I took his info down. he stated his name was Paul Smith located at 600 Little Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. he worked for Northom Crime monitoring Division. He then asked to Speak to my staff .. I hung up and he kept calling back asking to speak to my employee. She was already upset crying stating she did not know who he was and that she owed no money. i told him that she was not getting back on the phone and I will have the cops arrest him for harrassment. He kept calling and while he was on the phone I contacted the local police who s.

- Anne replies to Sweets| 1 replyJust an hour ago, my daugther received a call from a man who said his name was Mike Anderson. He told her that her husband had taken out a payday loan over a year ago. She was to pay him $590.00 in one hour and $393.00 the next day, or he was filing paper to have her husband arrested.
I spoke to this man, and asked him for a manager or a supervisor. he said that he was an attorney, I then asked him for is state bar Number. The number he gave me goes to an attorney in San Francisco, CA

- E.The police told me they couldn't do anything. This is a total scam. I was supposed to get picked up for court yesterday, but I am still here. LOL. Nobody picks you up for court, unless it is Dog the Bounty Hunter. I was told that I had owed a payday loan, they had all of my info. my bank account number and everything. I am pretty sure what they do is hack into or work with payday loan sites and if you apply to one of them they have your info and try to do this scam on you. They scare you. At first they almost had me, but some of the stuff will tip you off that it is a scam. First no one can pick you up and drag you to court, kidnapping. Second he was a man with a heavy accent claiming his name was David Walker..LOL. Also they claimed to be the Crime Moitoring Division Law Firm. There number is unpublished and if you look them up, they don't exist. They won't give you the direct phone number to the supposed creditor. They also wanted me to write an apology letter to the company for running with there money. They also said the payday loan co. tried to contact me 16 times by email over the last 2 years. If they had my phone number to my work and my cell and they really wanted their "Money" they would have contacted me more than 16 times to get it. These people are complete morons, the only thing they have that would get people is the fact that they are so rude they completely scare the crap out of people. Do not give them any money what so ever!!

These men that are calling claim to be attorney's, I wonder where they went to law school???

- heather replies to Elizabeth| 1 replywas it from a company called acs and did they say it was about a payday loan and that they filed criminal charges against you in calif or somewhere. i am just freaking out what should i do.
- gaffors replies to heatherI got the same phone call and kept getting disconnected. They were telling me it was in regards to a payday loan and that they had tried to email me 15 times. A "senior attorney" got on the phone, again with an accent and told me that it was for american Credit services and that they manage hundreds of websites so there is no way that they can tell me who it is for. He got very rude with me and we finally ended the call. I am glad other people are having this problem. I will just ignore it for now.
