No response after they called.  Just dead air and a computer voice saying "Good bye."  I called it back and it was busy.  Says it was from Beverly Hills, CA

same as last post. just DO NOT answer the phone when it says UNKNOWN on your caller ID

I am sure it's a scam, telemarketer  or a computer voice on the other end

Just now got a call with no ID from this number, read this post so I knew there was no need to answer. I use the bookmark to this site too much!

The only defense against these idiots and their nonsense calls are Caller ID phones!

This scammer gave me a false contractor's license number.  By all means, be sure to do business with these guys...NOT!

Told them to loose my number and they said maybe they should come over and read my address to me. I notified the FBI.

If this is a contractor "doing work in the area"... they must be really stooopid to think we'd be just as stupid to do work with people who do cold calls to solicit business.  Where are your references?

Got the call.  Knew it was a scam, so I didn't answer.  Added them to my blocked list.

Panasonic and Uniden make wonderful call blocking phones.

No message left...repeated calls

Call comes in confirming my name and address, then the pitch. Setting appointment for next week to do home construction. Not clear on what type. . I tried politely to say no, and then progressively got more aggressive trying to get this guy off the phone.  He was menacing in his tone, and finally I asked to be removed rom their list. He hung up.  I like the call blocking action. Good move.

I got a call from this number with the caller ID of "Beverly Hill CA." They wanted to know if I wanted to have them come out to do home improvements. I knew if I asked them to put me on their do not call list, they'd hang up and do no such thing. So I told them I wanted to set an appointment for tomorrow at 11:30. He said he'd have his boss call me to confirm. Of course, calling him back at the number on the caller ID led to a dead end fast tone busy signal.

10 minutes later, his boss called me to confirm my appointment. I asked for her company name and phone number:

They called again - and again their call was blocked

They called  - their call was blocked  - again.

Yesterday, I received the Panasonic phone that blocks 250 numbers.  The Panasonic phone I now have on my home line, only blocks 30 numbers - but it blocked these but holes!

Will get the new phone system installed this weekend - can't wait!

On my business line, I have the Digitone call blocker and this little guy can block entire area codes - as well as individual numbers.  Currently, I have 11 area codes blocked and will be blocking more!

They called today, twice in one minute.  Nobody there.  Slime mold.
