Toner Scam

Identified herself as Linda Williams and claimed she had been authorized by the vender to slash the prices of the toner we order. Knew it was a scam b/c we order locally. Humored her; told her we have a new printer with a srvc agreement that includes toner replacement. She quickly asked about desktops in the office & I confirmed there are some. She phished for the brand/models #'s but I told her if her intent was simply send a new pricing send a generic list. 10 mins later she cld back (apparently didn't recognize my voice) immediately named dropped claiming she had spoken with TT about an order and she didn't get the model # of the desktop. I promptly told her there was NO model number provided to her and she wouldn't get one during this conversation, also there would be no need to waste her time sending a price list. Her lie just cost her our business.

Just like the others I got the toner scam.  Said her company name was national.  I told her that we don't order toner through them and she just had a heavy sigh before hanging up... Not today satan lol

Toner con, and poorly done at that.

Repeatedly received calls that went to voice mail and had no content in the voice message.

Got a call transferred to me today, April 4 2019, and it rang through as McBean Webster. Luckily I was given some training on how to immediately identify scam callers by asking "Which location are you calling for?" "Which machine are you calling about?" "Which account number is this referencing?" The woman on the other end could only say it's for all machines, which I knew was bogus as only one machine of ours has a service contract. I also informed her that I knew this was a scam as I do all the purchasing for our company and we order our toner online. She kept trying to play it off like she knew that, but I wouldn't give in. A little advice, never give out any information. If someone is legitimately calling you, they already have that info. Protect yourself, protect your company.

I received a call from this place.  They went to voicemail but left no message or information.

Rude lady, called in, didn't let me finish saying hello, before she bluntly asked for IT. Wanted to know if I made decisions on toner ink. Hang up, it's a scam. Don't even bother transferring her in your organization.

Linda Williams is still alive and kicking as of 2/18/2020.  She called with the whole toner scam this afternoon

Another toner scam - gave her my name and then said we were under contract, then she hung up.
