I received a phone call today from this number stating I had a civil judgement against me. They would not say for what but they did give a large amount of what I owed for a loan. I have not received a loan from any one other than a bank. This company is a fraud.

Just received a call and the automated voice used my maiden name and said I had a complaint against me, instructed me to call back using the complaint ref # if I wanted more information.  I blocked the call.  Scam calls are increasing in the Texas area, my family and friends are all receiving them and we've all used the donotcall.gov registry!

These guys are scam artists. This is a popular ploy... They will call and try to alarm you so that you are not thinking things through like you normally would. They want you to be scared that you will be taken to court or arrested. Ultimately, what they want is to get you to agree to pay the (bogus) debt with one of your credit or debit cards to avoid catastrophe. To be clear, these are scam artists and do NOT represent one of your creditors.
The information they provide is completely false. You will not be served papers. You do not owe the debt they made up. It is 100% false… a trick… a hoax of the worse kind. Don’t give them any personal information. They will drain your accounts and by the time most people realize they have been a victim, the scam artists have set up shop in a new location with new phone number so the authorities cannot track them down. Be smart! Don’t talk to them. Hang up on them if you answer their call. Do not call them back if they leave a message.
Scammers call using VOIP and they are able to change the caller ID, to any number that they wish to display. So what actions can you take?

I answered a call from a very rude woman that would not give her name and I asked her to give it 4 times. She said I have a civil judgement against me for an old credit card debt from 1997. I don't know what credit card. She gave me a huge balance that I would have to go to court to pay or could pay half now, which was over $1200. I told her that I don't pay anything without reviewing paperwork. She asked 4 or 5 times, so what are you going to do? I asked for paperwork each time and she just hung up.

Got the same call that someone has a complaint against me. Give me a break. I'm one of the nicest individual. I'm also intelligent that Im not falling into their stupid games. I told them that they also have a complaint against them & screamed my head off to break their ear drums. After a long day at work, great to release my pressure. Try it. It'll make you feel good

Haven't heard from these folks for awhile, and this is the first time they used this number.  I didn't answer, and they left no message.  Thanks to all above for advising who it was.  I especially like the idea of Scammers-in-Training.  Everyone's gotta start somewhere, I guess.

I just had a lengthy call from this number, all in Spanish. I do not speak Spanish, and my home phone has been mine since 1983. When I called the number back, someone answered in Spanish and I said, "English", and the person immediately hung up. The caller ID on my phone said, "Power Co". Since I don't speak Spanish, I have no idea why they called.

Got a call from this number claiming to be providing electric bill help. First claimed to be a company, then claimed to represent the state of CA. When requested to provide name of company, license #, and which department or state they work for, they hanged up. Scam appears to be directed at non-English speakers. When asked in English, they could not answer. Only spanish.

Long rambling recording , in Spanish. Thanks for assimilating [***]. Telemarketers are bad enough, but when they don't even speak english it's over the top.

Just got a call from this number.  I said "hello" twice and there was no answer either time. A few seconds after the second one, they hung up.

They just tried to reach me. I did not pick up and they left no message, went to 800 notes seconds after the call was received and blocked the number.  Thanks for all others posting here for your actions.
