I got a call from a 9 digit number saying to call this number. this is the second time these people have tried to scam me. They say I have a unpaid payday loan and that I must pay right away or I will go to jail. They have all my information. The BBB sent out a warning about these people. Just ignore them its a scam

I recieved a call from this number 1-310-598-1647. They said I owed a payday loan from Feb. I asked them what the name of the loan company was and they said they did not know. I said well why am I recieving this notice and this happened in Feb and now it is September 25th? He said I owed $839.00 for lawyer fees and late fees to include the $300.00 unpaid balance. I told him I work for the Sheriff's Office and I will have my Invetigator look into it. By the way San Diego's area code is not 310, and the number 1-215-279-5915 is from Penn. This is a scam! They also screen their calls.

Hello yeah they called me too around 1200 saying that I was being sued by a Pay Day Loan Company. A bill I did not pay back in Feb. I asked the guy why you wait so long? He said they tried to contact you several times thru email, because that's the only way they could reach me. I said that's weird since you just called today. He said they will send my references a Supeno for Court also, and I had to be there Monday, but if I could make a payment to day that would work just fine. With a debit or credit card.

What you mean they are right? You had an experience with them before? Normally if you owe someone money and they know it for months their customer service rep would call to try and make payment arrangements, not by email, and they would not sue you until they have tried to negotiate with you on the matter. Tell you on 24-September-09, you have a supenoa for court on Monday without any notice of court documents that's very supicious!

Just had a call from this number.  My cell phone caller id said "unknown number". The first guy told me to hold on for his senior attorney. When the second guy came on the line (Dean Jones), he  said that there was a lawsuit pending against me. Then he asked if I had an attorney and I said yes. He then told me to have my attorney call him and that's when I got the phone number. When I asked for his Bar# he said that I didn't need it and hung up the phone. These people are scammers!!!!!

310-598-1647 are total scammers! they have called me today numerous times saying i owe money to a cash lending company which is completely false. i almost made the payment but realized on ripoff report.com that its a scam and ui cancelled the payment and now thay are calling me saying to call back and they say "may god save your life" i am reporting them to the police!

These people will scam you. The best thing is to ignore them don't answer the call. If they continue to call report them to your local police and State Attorney. One good thing you can do is save all the recordings that they make on your voice mail if you want to have some sort of evidence. But please these people can not send you to jail since in the United States people that owe have a chance to either pay in installments or go bankrupt. Who ever has been in jail for oweing.

Don't let these kind of people and scammers get to you.

yep got the same call even my mom got the call for me at her house. The next time I get this call it will be rported to the California F.B.I headoffice where the call number came from. I think they are the one's who better ask God for help, because we don't have to answer to God for scamming they do they should be ashame of them selves for impersanating the people who are real collectors at least they tell you the details. And oh by the way letters have to be sent out for deliquent bills are certified letters as well how stupied do they think the american public is not so stupied to fall for this.
