Called my work. "Car Warranty expiring" recorded message. I hung up.

Same jerks, different fake number.  How these con-artists think they can sucker someone into buying their fake warranty by calling daily for years is beyond me.  It also boggles the mind that the authorities are seemingly powerless to trace a phone call and stop these criminals.  But here we are...

Our company has repeatedly complained for them to remove our number from their  call list. We are an emergency response center and we have mentioned we can not have their calls come in. 8/8/08 I spoke with a guy and he said "Why don't you do yourself a favor" and hung up on me. On 8/12/08 I spoke with a older women and she hung up on me when I asked to speak with her manager. It's ridiculous to receive 8-10 UNWANTED calls a day.

FYI; If you try calling 310-599-5636, it will not ring nor will it go to a live person. We have tried pressing 2, and it doesn't work.

I am also getting these calls from a "warranty" scammer, saying my auto warranty has run out.  I have hit the #2 key on my phone many times to "opt out" of these phone calls, but they just keep calling...  They are coming from many different phone numbers now - Compton CA @ 310-599-5636, Johnson Lacie @ 303-524-7235, Evins Starling @ 615-599-4850, Stewart I @ 727-596-7932, and Fugazy Kathrine @ 484-380-3096.

I got so many calls from this number after 5pm, no one answers on the other line though.

We have been getting calls from this stupid A _ _ company on 3 different phones even after we push # 2 for them to quit calling, wish they would STOP !!!!!!11

I picked up, but didn't say anything. If computers call and you don't speak, they can't answer of have anyone get on the line with you. After a little bit of time passed without hearing anyone speak, I hung up.
This is the way I do with 'unknown name' and 'unknown caller'. If it is a person, they usually say, "Hello?"
So, I' guessing it was a computer auto dialling and if I had answered with a greeting, I would be speaking with someone wanting to 'renew' my car warranty. I do not own a car. I have not owned a car for a very long time.

No one spoke when I answered the phone. I pushed and held down the ZERO key for about 30 seconds. I hold down any key when I get telemarketing calls for about 30 seconds and it seems to deter them from calling. I am still awaiting my number to become activated on the DO NOT CALL LIST, so I can't report them yet.

I attempted to call the 1-800-243-7616 number provided and they sell magazine subscriptions.

I only call family (so my number couldn't have been stolen from caller id) and no one has my telephone number.  The only calls I ever get are from family and this auto warranty place.  

>> I have my telephone services through Qwest Communications...does everyone else with this issue???  Maybe Qwest sold/gave out our telephone numbers???


p.s.  I am disabled/terminally ill and don't drive or own a car...I haven't for roughly 5+ years.  Auto warranty-haha...has to be fraud.  Has anyone spoken to the local police at that area code?  I may do this and see if there's an open case...for people who do "buy an auto warranty" and then they steal their info/credit cards/etc.

They called me too.  But my cars are very old.  I think the company is a front to get your information.  Be very careful.
