I didn't answer either and no message left, problably another car warranty, I would sure like to get one on my old beater:)

I report every number to the FTC and other authorities and you should too!

This is the 5th number in two days. Each time the unknown numbers call I do not pick up. They do not leave a message, and I look them up on the internet. Every number I have Googled, it is speculated that it is in connection with car warranty offers. So, I will assumme that these are the same people just using different numbers.

What idiots. I don't even own a car! I think they have received my number from a recent job posting on Career Builders.

Note to scammers... In the event you are smart enough to google your own numbers, everyone is on to you and reporting you to the authorites...

I am on the Do Not Call list and I'm tired of getting solicitation calls.  I did not pick up and they left no message this time.

You are on a scam list. I am also on a DNC list but scammers do not abide by this.

This number called me on 7/24. In the past two weeks I have received calls from at least 6 numbers. They call, not recognizing the number I do not pick up, they do not leave a message, I make note of the number, then search it on Google leading me to sites as these. All have mentioned "auto warranty" in connection with each of these numbers.

Don't get a warranty from these scammers!  One poster said he paid for one with a credit card (from one of the alternate numbers for this same warranty scammer), and when he wanted to change his mind, they said it would take 6-8 weeks to refund him his credit--by mail.  They wouldn't give him a company name, either.

Let's all combine to keep an ongoing list.  Please add to it any phone numbers which get this same recording if you call them back:  

"Thank you for calling.  We are sorry if we reached your number in error.  We only purchase and call business phone listings.  If you would like the number removed from our calling list, please press 1."

When you press 1, nothing happens.  

ALL the numbers I've posted above (the ones with Caller ID named) get this same recording by the same voice when you call, so it's obviously the same scamming operation who is getting away with dozens of different numbers and IDs--all of which is highly illegal, so please report your calls.

Using those numbers above, I called with the following results:  

1-800-269-4037 (customer svc)
I called and asked what the name of the company was.  I was told "AUTO WARRANTY."  I told them to stop calling me and to put me on their Do Not Call list.  The young lady said that their company only called from the 248 area code.  I asked her for that phone number—THE COMPANY PHONE NUMBER, and SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T KNOW!!!.  She said that she just knew that they were in the 248 area code.  

I told her, "Well, I can tell you what the phone number is.  It's 248-899-7144 (listed as the desk lady's phone number above), and when I call it back, it's no longer in service."  

She said, "Of course it's not in service; it's not for incoming calls; it's only for outgoing calls."  I know that there is no such thing as a phone for outgoing calls only.  Furthermore, the not-in-service recording sounded like the standard phone company recording.  

Then I called back another of their phone numbers, 1-800-599-9557.  I spoke with Kenneth.  I asked him the name of his company.  He said "DEALER SERVICES."  I asked him for his extension number, and he wouldn't give it to me.  His excuse was that he wanted to know what it was about so that he could refer me to the right extension.  Going along with the game, I told him that I am requesting a copy of their company's Do Not Call Policy and that legally they must provide it to me (or to ANYONE who requests it) by no later than 30 days from now.  

He quickly transferred me to the next person, Sean.  I asked Sean his extension number, and he said it was 14.  I asked what his company title was, and he said "Head of Verification."  I then told him that I was requesting a copy of their company's Do Not Call Policy and that legally they must provide it to me in no more than 30 days.  He asked me my name.  

I said, "My name is not important.  What IS important is that you are legally bound to send to me—and to anyone else who requests it—a copy of your company's Do Not Call Policy.  I gave him my postal address.  

Next, I told him that I have been registered on the National Do Not Call Registry since June 13, 2008, and that I wanted my number put onto their company's Do Not Call List.  He took down my number, which I had him read back to me.  

Then I also told him that I wanted my number put onto the Do Not Call lists of any other company that they have shared it with.  He said that this would be done, that I was now on their company's Do Not Call List, and that I would receive the copy of the company's Do Not Call Policy in the mail on Monday.  

So people, try calling 1-800-599-9557 and ask for Sean at ext. 14.  Demand your copy of their company Do Not Call Policy and tell them that you know they have to send it to you by no later than 30 days from now.  Then also demand to be put onto their company Do Not Call List.  

I don't think you have to be previously registered with the FTC's National Do Not Call Registry in order to request their policy and to be put on their company's Do Not Call List.  

However, it's a good idea to get registered with the FTC's National Do Not Call Registry, so if you haven't done it yet, here's the site to sign up:

You can also file a complaint there--and please do for each scam phone call you receive.  The more complaints against a company, the higher the fines and sanctions on them.

go to www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint, that's what I just did for both my home and my cell phone numbers.

one call 7/29, no message left on voice mail

They've called me incessantly for months.  I've been kind, I've been as nasty as can be, and still they call.  Registered for the DNC list, and then filed an FTC complaint against them (they call my cell, eating my minutes and sometimes costing me cash at the end of the month.)

I strongly recommend that everyone getting harassed by these guys file a complaint with the FTC (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/).  There will be a section in the complaint where you can free-form list all the numbers they call from.

Thanks to those reporting this number, I knew not to answer.

310-599-9115 just one of many numbers that lead me to "extended auto warranty" offer.  I never EVER answer these unknown numbers, and I google them afterwards and always see the same BS.  I have researched the numbers and come across a company called dealer services, and looks to me like a big scam.  Even a former employee has wrote about the company and it's scams.  Terrible.

Has called me from more than a dozen numbers, I have asked numerous times to be removed from the call list, asked for a copy of the company's do not call policy (which they are required by LAW to give you upon request)- never got it, never got removed from their call list.

I am very disturbed to learn some of the information above.  I am more disturbed that after doing research on my own, the president of the company above titled Dealer Services is listed as a treasurer on the Trenton NJ BBB website! I will look into this further.

Calls my cell from time to time.  I reject the call.
