I answered this that came in on my Majicjack.  No one tajked, just hung up in about 10 seconds.

I'm getting that number calling me all of a sudden....as of one hour ago.  What's the deal and, yes.....how do we stop it?

Called my cell, didn't answer, called number back, recording.  

This kind of activity has ramped up noticeably since the economy began to head south.  You'd think among all that pork in that ridiculous ripoffulus package the hope-and-change-clown is trying to shove down our throats there might be a coupla dollars going towards enforcing the law regarding defrauding the taxpayers footing the bill, but, nope...nada.

just got that phone call as well, so tired of these phone calls...grrrrrr

Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer it because it was the second unrecognized call I got today - the other one hung up, I figured this would be the same.  No voice mail from them.

they called my cell and didn't say anything either, on these posts some people say that they're issuing car warranties, well my car is 17 years old, at this point a warrenty isn't needed.

these people got the number to a pre-paid cell and hung up.

The only way to stop them is by filing complaints with the FTC.gov and putting all your phone numbers on the no call registry.. Filing complaints with the no call registry is the same thing as with the FTC I think, just that you have to wait 30 days after you sign your phone numbers up for it to use the do not call list's complaint forms directly...

No idea who this was- left no message.

Called my old phone that i have fowarding messages from callwave to my new phone. Im glad this site is around or else i would have actually called back, Going to report the number to the FTC. Thanks everyone

It is a scam.  I get this call on both my cell phones.  I tried the FTC and reported the call, although there is little I could answer in their list of questions.  I could give them this number and the scam idea that was it.  

After attempting to press one to be "removed from the list" and still receiving countless calls, I hit another number to be assisted by a telemarketer/con artist.  He was angry when I asked how I should be truley removed from the list.  He quickly disconnected me after yelling at me to, "have a nice day."  He seemed in a big hurry and very angry for me wasting his time.  SO... Here is my idea.  We all chose the option to talk to a person who can assist us.  Then we waste his time like there is no tomorrow.  We talk on and on making him think he will have a sale.  We give fake information to keep him on the line, then add bits and pieces about our trip to Virginia with Uncle Harry last june.  Pretend that he is a great friend that you just have to share this funny story with as you slowly drive him crazy and waste his time.  He deserves it.  He's a piece of crap.

I am getting these recorded calls all the time.  How can we stop these calls?  It is a recording stating that my car warranty is up for renewal.
They are using my cell phone minutes!

This number called my cell this afternoon. No voicemail left. When I called it back I got a recording saying if I no longer wished to receive calls about special deals and products to press "1" to be placed on their "do not call list". No company name or any type of identification was said in the recording.
