Called my cell at 2:17 in afternoon, caller id showed S San Fran police dept. No message left, from the looks of it on this board, perhaps I should block number.

Caller ID said they were from Gardena, California. No message, so I blocked the number.

i just got a call from this number, but, it sounded like a fax.

When I picked up it said I had won a scholarship.  Then they "transferred" me to someone who doesn't exist.

recorded foreign language (I believe Hispanic)....  I hung up.

I have Texas number. They called. No message. Blocked, baby.

Just got a call at 6:56 didn't answer I live in Texas too

i believe this is a good strategy for people to be in this site or for you to call back and get your name. They have caller ID and sale this info to solicitors.

Same thing - 310- 627 - 1520  Gardena California. I called back and it said it was a non working number and started calling out random numbers. Very strange.

Seems these scumbags call Texas a lot.......

Received call at 9:23 on cell in Texas  .
I answered because I wanted to know who had the nerve to call so late that I didn't know and then to further T me off it want even in English!

This is a game. A group of people (usually 10) put in $250 to $500 in a pot, get a new cell number from a month to month company and start calling. The first person to get 30 posted reports on unwanted calls websites like this one wins. It's really a dumb and immature game but I want to say thank you all because I won the $5,0000.00. Whoop!

My home phone rang at 10:58pm Texas time...which surprised me because most solicited type calls occur before 9pm.
It had an L.A. area code which concerned me because my daughter lives in L.A. and I thought some one was calling me on her behalf.  I googled the number to find out it is a prank/solicitor type call.

This kind of stuff needs to be stopped.  Thanks for your help.

I called back and just got a fast busy signal, several times.

We are also in Texas and it came in at 11:21 pm , from California, on a work night. Who calls that late seriously. We racked our brains trying to think do we know anyone in CA but neither of us did. Anyway we did not answer. They never left a voice mail so obviously they did not know us personally. So we added them to the blocked list.
