Wow what a site this is! Same story, got called today in Vancouver and didnt answer because of an odd area code and out of curiousity found this site. Thanks for some great feedback.

I got a call from them.  I didn't answer this one though because I had already gotten 2 other random calls that were scams and I didn't know this number so, I figured it was a scam also.  I checked here and it seems like I was right.  All these numbers that have been calling lately are saying I won a trip and to pick from two places.  They also ask for credit card info.  Don't give that information to these people. Oh and they do keep calling.  I hope they stop soon.  I'm not stupid.

i continually receive calls like this and i'm sure it has something to do with fido.  anyone else use fido services?

I use Telus and got a call from these people so its not just Fido...

The same here same number same no vm messege.  Who are this people and what are they trying to do.

I am in Canada and on Jan 16th at 2 pm a call came in to my cell from 1-310-683-5906 but I ignored it, as many of you have.  I too will not pay for unknown or unwanted calls to my cell.  I always ask telemarketers where they got my cell number and only once was I given an answer; they had purchased the mailing list from Columbia House DVD/CD club.

I got a call from this number at 6:43pm on Friday, January 16th, 2009 and I answered it to a telemarketer and I hung up, from what I read from other peoples responses this person is from LA and receives your number from companys by purchasing their mailing list. I texted the company that I want myself off their list and I questioned them to where they got my number. Try to find out where they got your number from because a company that you gave it to gave it away.

let call go to voice mail.  No message.  Glad I did the reverse # look up.. thanks!

I am with Bell and I get a call once a week from them.

I'm so tempted to pick up a call next time, and when they ask me for my credit card number, I give them the wrong one. If they're able to validate it on the spot, and they figure it doesn't work, I can yell, "THAT'S BECAUSE I JUST MADE IT UP. GO SCREW YOURSELF." And then hang up.

Alright so 2 minutes ago I get an incoming call on my cell.
I didn't answer cause the area code was so clearly not anywhere near me..
So I typed this number in Google, hoping it would tell me where the area code is from cause I thought maybe I know this person?
And instead I find this whole page devoted to that number.
Thats so weird, and really annoying - I hope they don't call again!

I am with Rogers.  So I guess it doesn't matter what your carrier is.  They have a way of getting phone numbers.

You know, it's probably not a great idea to make the people who know your phone number angry...

Same old story. Number is a private one based out of L.A. Seems to be a scam. Only one man and one woman that seem to work for this "company".

I got a call from them last night, it seems since I've gotten a Prepaid Cell phone with Rogers Wireless...I am getting more calls from these kinda numbers, same with my partners phone. I called this number back and it was just some cheesy music so I hung up.

I'm i Ottawa, Canada and have received 2 calls from this number on my cell in the past 2 weeks.  I didn't answer either of them and they did not leave a vm.

really all the different cell phone carriers must be selling these numbers as there is no way that they would call everyone on different networks

I started recieving calls from them routinely every evening. I set my phone for call fowarding at 4 rings. (give me time to see number and pick up if recognized)Imagine how they feel when they figure out they called themselves. Didn't cost a dime as I was on free promoitional long distance from my provider.
