SD&A Teleservices has dozens of real clients ... they are NOT a scam, SD&A is a for-profit business contracted by charities and not-for-profits to do marketing that the charity can not afford to do on its own.

Calling them a scammer is a gross misuse of that word. Calling something a scam says something is illegal and criminal and certainly immoral. So, here the use of SCAM is a hyperbole. Hyperbole is a great tool for persuading folks, but it is almost never a servant of the truth.

Instead, just say YOU don't like the amount they charge the charity. (Also remember that you are I may not like the going commercial rate for charity telemarketing services ... but you and I might not like the going rate for first run movie tickets or pastrami sandwiches at delis too.) The solution to getting more to the charity is for YOU to give to the charity directly.

the Nat'l Do-Not-Call list does not cover the charities.
It DOES cover commercial For-profit fundraisers; the reputable ones may also themselves have a company do-not call list.

That won't keep them from selling their lists every year or so though. They ARE for-profits!

95%, no. That is hyperbole ... it is the fairly standard 85%; a sucky rate to be sure. But never overstate your case, makes your argument LESS valid.

The best course of action when a charities telemarketer calls:
 1) Say: no thank you, and ...
 2) Immediately call the charity and give them $ directly.

I too have received several calls & never answer.  By mistake one day I picked up the phone.  A female asked if she could speak to (my name).  I replied loudly:  NO & hung up.  Let's see if I continue to receive calls.

On previous calls, caller ID read "UNKNOWN" or "OUT OF AREA" or "SD&A TELESERV". THIS TIME, instead of words, the CID read 0113106932915, with the number 310-693-2915 below. 011 is the International code to dial the United States. 31 is the code for the Netherlands. I'm not sure WHAT it is, but I AM SURE that I won't be answering their calls any time soon!

Got a call, let it ring, no message. Blocked the number from here forward!!

Called today at 1345. I was sleeping with a headache and this call woke me up. I rejected it because it came through with no name. My call blocker said the call was blocked so that I would not know who it was from, but unblocked it for me. SD&A Teleservices. They are telemarketers for charities. Sorry, if someone masks their number to hide who is calling, I won't do business with them. I don't appreciate being cold-called and people invading my home by phone. If I want to give to charity, I will give to the charity of my choice. They are now blocked. [:]

Called by this number again at 1136 on a Saturday morning. Since I previously blocked them I did not hear the ring but later saw the call had come in.  Here is more of their information and notice they are listed with a different telephone number. Their web site says they have a state of art CALL CENTER from which they robocall/cold call people who may or may not have given to any number of entities, even what they call time-lapsed or deep time lapsed.They also brag about their high credit card volume.  So don't expect them to stop calling you anytime soon. RED FLAG! I called the number on my throw away phone and got a recording telling me that I had reached them beyond their hours of operation which are M-F, 0900 to 1770. Ooops, but they called on SATURDAY morning! I also called their second number and got "Quality Assurance" which was not very high quality, sounded like he was eating his lunch while making the recording, asking for your phone number to take you off their list. DONT DO IT! Block them. NEVER give money to a voice you hear on the phone. If you feel you want to give to a charity, give to the charity, not a middle-man as they get their cut and your money is not going where you expect it to go. They have to pay all these people in their call-center!  If you agree to give them money, tell them to send you the information thru the US Postal Service, not by email, and that you will decide what you are going to do when you get their information by mail.

I guess they don't get the message from my call blocker that "this number is disconnected". Called again on 3/3/15 at 1134. I have a feeling this a a robo-call. I will not pick up. Please read my above post about this company. Thank you [:]

Creepy Pests!! Robocalling according to my cell phone. Called 3/4/15 at 1131.  Rejected. Again, if this was a real person calling, they would hear "phone is disconnected" and stop but I don't think this is real person, I believe this "Charity" telemarketer is cold-calling by computer. Since they are not an actual "Charity" but a telemarketer, I have reported them to the DNC and FTC.  I would not give them a penny for anything.  Thank you[:]

I received a call from this number today at 4:00.  A foreign speaking man said he was from a division of Windows Computer Service.  He said a computer virus was going aroung and for me to go to my computer and he would instruct me how to avoid getting it.  In so many words, I told him no way.  I would call Microsoft myself.  I hung up.

My name is registered on the federal do not call list. I do not want to receive these calls. I did not answer.

This caller, since they are calling on behalf of a charity, is not required to screen against the DNC list before calling you. Therefore, your number being on the DNC list is irrelevant. If you do not want to receive fundraising call from them, you have to tell them that or go to their website and opt out.  See previous posts from PookieOokie for the contact information.

Robo calls coming in 2 - 3 times a day. Never any response. Have been calling here for 3 weeks now.

Wow the return back to the charities is SAD. I knew Greenpeace used them as I was acosted by someone when I was going into the grocery store not too long ago. Never give to these organizations. Give directly to the charities
