This number contacted me in regards to an ad I posted on Craigslist in Portland, Oregon.  It's the old I'll send you a check for the car and include extra money which you need to send back in cash to pay a driver to come out and pick it up. The texter claims to be deaf so can't call. He knows a bank will clear the check as long as you have funds to cover it. When it doesn't clear you are responsible to pay the bank back because the check was either forged, counterfeited, stolen or fraudulent. Never accept a check from someone for have never seen AND talked to on the phone. They will never answer the phone. If you ever do accept a check never give up the merchandise till the check has actually cleared the bank. Usually 10 to 14 days. Hope this helps someone.. Have a blessed day
