Just got off the phone with a guy from this number (caller ID said "Unknown Caller"), he said his name was John but his [***] accent was too strong to believe he was anything but a scammer (A LOT of loud men in the background and I heard a few say they were with Ameren), and he's telling me that I didn't finish the verification process for moving to a new supplier for my Ameren account. Told him nope did all of that the other day and hung up on him.  He called back a few minutes later said his manager checked and I still needed to re-do the verification process as it wasn't done correctly. I told him nope, I'm good, have confirmation numbers and that I didn't believe he was with Ameren.  He was silent and I hung up on him.

Well, this number has called my Xfinity VOIP phone line 6 times in the past few days.  I see I have voice mail, should probably check it.  Caller ID says "Chicago IL" which is a nice change from every town in PA that calls.  /snark

This number called a guy named Mike from ComEd. He told us we were over paying. He wanted to put me on hold when I told him I didn’t have the bill. I hung up. They called at least 5x then the number displayed was a different number. Don’t give out information to anyone on the telephone

This number called  a guy named Tim said he was with the electric company attached to this number & I was over charged. I explained that this was my work number and no electric account is attached to this number & hung up. He called back 2 minutes later asking why I hung up. He then proceeded to tell me I was a rude F***ing lady a real rude F***ing lady. Then around 8pm they called and left me a msg just saying hello over and over.

"Ameren Corporation is an American power company created December 31, 1997, by the merger of St. Louis, Missouri's Union Electric Company (formerly NYSE: UEP) and the neighboring Central Illinois Public Service Company (CIPSCO Inc. holding, formerly NYSE: CIP) of Springfield, Illinois. It is now a holding company for several power companies and energy companies. The company is based in St. Louis, serving 2.4 million electric, and 900,000 natural gas customers across 64,000 square miles in central and eastern Missouri and the southern four-fifths of Illinois."

I wasn't home when they called. But if they can't put the company name in the ID I don't want to talk to them.

Called about electric bill. I told him he had the wrong number because I do not have that electric company.  He then became vulgar and asked me about my private parts.

Caller ID from Chicago 312-239-0959, man with heavy Indian accent and boiler room background audio present, stated that I had overpaid my electric bill and asked me to get my copy of the bill.  I pulled it up on-line.  He asked me about certain charges.  I asked him what the letters of my Electric Company (abbreviation) meant, I asked him a few times, he ignored me each time and then became defensive.  He did not know what the parent company was of my electric company.  He was after certain costs but I told him that if he was with that company then he should have that info.  I asked him why the caller ID said Chicago and he stated he was not calling from Chicago but calling from my city then from a different city 2 counties away.  He finally hung up.  I think he was trying get my bank information (due to mentioning my overpayment) or to switch my electric service to another company.  I hope everyone takes this scamming attempt seriously and ignore them.

My caller ID said it was a “Scam Likely”number. A man answered saying he was from PECO (was electric company) and that there was a problem with my account and that I needed to get my latest bill. I don’t have electric in my name and never have. I asked if he needed this monthS bill and he said yes. I asked how would I have the bill for the month that’s not over? He said “oh you think your too smart you f****** old lady”. I laughed and blocked the number.
