The Only Way To Stop These Kinds Of Calls Is To Make Them Pay. Always Answer - They Have To Pay For Completed Call.  Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.

If I weren't at work, I would not have answered this call! The woman sounds as though she's from India or thereabouts and she was making me nervous with all the questions that she asked about the company that I work for. Since I am the switchboard operator, I had to answer the phone, but I felt like hanging up on her because I kept wondering if it was some sort of scam!
It's a pain to have to take these calls.
If I was at home, I wouldn't have answered the call. I love Caller ID and the answering machine!!

Yeah, and I hope that it costs them a bundle for wasting my time with their inane call!

I think she just called me.  Some of the information, I just informed her I wasn't obligated to answer.

Here I am, on the phone with a client, get a call waiting call.  Ask my client to hold, then the idiots on the other end don' say anything.

I agree about making them pay, but they probably use something like magic jack or vonage so it doesn't cost them anything to bug everyone all day and night. It is very discouraging where our legal system seems to put a stop to these calls - but they really do not. Do not know who it was or what they wanted, they called before we where open. No message.

Caller ID reads Unknown Name and the number.  Had to ask the caller to speak up several times, and his accent made confirming what he was saying difficult.  (general example, our business is on Court Street, which he insisted on pronouncing as Car Street, even after several corrections.)  Illinois Manufacturer's Guide.

I am not liking this rep.

I told him that I have good local jobs available.

Told him since he knew my company name, look up my address on the internet and stop wasting my time.

If these companies record you saying "Yes" they can cut up the call and say you agreed to a purchase

Called asking VERY specific questions, asked what it was regarding and they stated it was a manufacturer guide.  Sales rep had Indian accent.  I asked if there was a charge for this guide and he stated it was free.  Gave them our general information, when they asked for our specific factory names we use I stated I was NOT going to provide that information, he quickly got off the phone with me.

Caller asked to confirm information, address, main number, fax. Told them we don't give out name and title info. "Alright." Next question was how many people work here. I said "Enough to make it work." He said "Alright" and hung up.

could barely hear the guy, obviously spoke with an indian accent.. i kept asking him to speak up and i still couldn't hear him. what i did hear was that he's from the manufacturer's guide and was calling to update information. however, i was bombarded with other people/questions, so i asked him once more to repeat the question, and he simply said, "nevermind, i'll call back later." and hung up.

Just received this call to update free Texas Listing in manufacturer's guide.  He kept trying to get me to say yes.  I wouldn't say yes,  I pretended it was a prank call and kept asking him "is this George"?  He became upset.  You bet I'm buying this was a call from a legitimate beyond reproach company, calling from a Chicago area code with a India accent.  Just say yes to his questions and all that free stuff may cost a small fortune.

Caller ID said "Wireless Caller", but the guy (speaking with an Indian accent) said he was with "Manufacturers Guide" and needed to update our business listing. I told him I was not interested and hung up.

Manufacture's Guide updating information.  Asked a million questions, finally just put them on hold until they hung up.

INCOMING CALL WAS SENT TO A SPECIAL EXTENSION INSTALLED FOR "JUNK" CALLS.  Employees know they can send any call to this extension as it is listened to throughout the day.

Phone Number is recorded so we know where the call is coming from and the time of the call.  This caller hung-up without leaving a message.

Why do you capitalize the first letter of every word?

I am so grateful for websites like this. Again, man with India accent wanting to confirm our address for my company. I had to ask him what is this regarding, he says just wanted to whatever and was stating our addy. Never said yes, just thank you and hung up. So many of these scam artists are here. They are so annoying and just downright rude.
