this is Arnold S. Harris, a collection attorney downtown Chicago.  They represent the Illinois Toll Authority, among others.  The toll system is as corrupt as they come!  Harris WILL report you deliquent to the credit bureau's, and they WILL have the Illinois Secretary of State suspend your driver's license!  You're better off not dealing with Harris.  Instead, go to the Tollway office in Downers Grove, IL and see a Violations manager.  You can argue your case and fill out a Settlement request for a lot less than the amount owed.  Once you get the final settlement figure, you send a Money Order via Certified Mail with a return receipt.  Include a letter telling them to instruct Harris to cease calling you and to immediately update any negative credit reporting and unsuspend your license.  if you try to deal with Harris, all you'll get is the run around.

I've gotten the same calls. I ask every time for them to mail me the information (smart of you to ask, documentation is evidence!) and give them the correct address each time they call. I have YET to receive a single document, letter, or anything physical to back up what they are saying. They want me to pay $420 and have been calling for this amount since 2007! I refuse to pay a cent until I see paperwork and they threaten me constantly. News for ya, I live in IN now, so take away my IL license with your fake fines!

This is way to pay the violation. I sent my violation money order with regular mail and they did not cash it until 10 days after receiving it. They do it on purpose that then they have right to fine you again even you made the payment. Use sertified mailing then you can prove they did receive payment on time.

312 604 7187 calls repeatedly since the first of December requesting a return call to Mr Scott. Never a real person just automated message.

This is Arnold Scott Harris law firm out of Chicago.  They have been calling my residence continuously for several months now. They are looking for a person who I found out had rented the house that I now rent 3 YEARS before I moved in. They have called and spoken to my 13 year old daughter who told them the person doesn't live here and it is a wrong number, I have told them we have no idea who this is and to stop calling here and now I am getting my machine filled with messages while I'm at work and they call in the evening while I am cooking dinner or helping kids with homework... but it is always a recording telling you to call back. When you do, you get a voice mail after about 5 minutes of music and please hold; like they are about to answer; but they never do. I left a message tonight that if they call one more time or leave one more message I will contact my lawyer about harassment charges. I am going to report them to the attorney general / no call list this week.

I just called them.  It is a Law Firm of Arnold Scott Harris and they called about a Illinois Tollway violation.  Unlike some of the issues posted, I had a very simple discussion with "Frank" explained the situation, who then refereed me to I-Pass, gave me all the information they would need and simply asked that I called him back with the confirmation number after I paid I-Pass.

These people have been calling several times a day for a month now, they are rude an indignant. I told them to contact my Bankruptcy attorney and stop calling me, yet they won't stop calling

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Thanks everyone!!  I almost called this number back.  As I don't use the toll way, it would have been pretty funny.  I have this guy constantly calling me saying I have a problem with my computer.  I know it is a scam, so I tease the heck out of him by pretending to follow his directions on the phone.  When things are not going his way, he always hangs up.  Maybe I should do this with these guys.

Received several messages from this number, name on listing is Arnold S H. The message says they are a debt collector for tolls. I was getting the same messages from another number about unpaid tolls for someone I know that has been deceased for 2 years. Bogus call all the way.

I get 2 or 3 calls a day left on my answering machine.  They call all times of the day and night.  They say they are calling from the Law Office of Arnold Stan Harris trying to collect a debit.  It is always an automated message and if you pick up the phone you can't talk to a human.  I never called back the number 312-604-7187..but I want to tell them to stop calling my house.

Many times I receive phone calls from Arnold Scott with this number: 1-312-348-1547. Now I fund out this is the correct number: 1-312-604-7187. I think I have to go to an attorney because this is harassment!

They called me and I live in MA and don't own a car...so it's not just for IL IPASS...assuming it's a scam.

report this to the inspector general office, or to the states attorneys office. this is fraud at its best. if you have been threatened, that is also illegal.

Have been receiving these recorded messages about contacting them concerning a debt collection.  The hours to contact them are also given.  Have no outstanding debts and know that the IL Tollway will contact you directly if you owe them money.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Don't know how they get the number as we are on the National DO NOT CALL list.

I received a call from the number yesterday. I was surprised to see that these complaints date back to 2009!! I live on the East Coast and haven't driven through IL in years. It is a scam.
