Called twice. I din't answer.Went to answering machine. Did not leave a message.

8:46 PM 09/09/2008.  I received a call and the lady asked for my wife by name.  She wasn't in so the lady said she was taking a survey and wanted to talk to the adult male of the home.
She asked if I use a computer at home and if it was for work or fun. She asked if I used a computer anywhere else.  Then she quickly thanked me and hung up.  It left me feeling like it was a scam or something since she didn't ask about anything significant.

Marie Brighton has called 3 days in a row. Does'nt leave a message. Called tonight while I'm talking long distance to my mother. I'm getting annoyed. It is from downtown Chicago. That's all I know.

Received a call from Marie Brighton (or so the caller ID says).  I don't answer ANY phone calls from folks that I don't know.  The name Marie Brighton sounded familiar to me, so I searched for it on Google.  Boy am I glad I did that!!!  Thank all of you that reported this so that it appeared on the internet.  I will never answer this call.  I hope this person is stopped

www.synovate.com is a marketing research company.  I know because I've been a member of their consumer research panel for a couple of years now - I do not work there.  But I do know that members can refer people by email for studies.  So I'm wondering if someone didn't refer you guys and that's how they got your number, if you didn't sign up for their site yourselves.  That's the only other way they'd have access to your information.  If you know someone who does online surveys, ask the person if they referred you.  They probably did.

Called from caller id: 312-775-1288 twice in less than an hour.  Not sure how I got on the call list but I don't appreciate it since I work from home and don't like any calls on that line other than work.  While I'm not sure if it was the same caller, I did get a political survey call about Obama's health care reform.  I'm not in favor of a government run (competition is good!) anything and I gave my honest opinions.  The guy asking the questions had an obvious agenda as he had an attitude when I said that I would like lower costs for everything but I still wasn't in favor of a government run medical program that "promised" lower costs.  I thought surveys were supposed to be impartial!

marie brighton has called my home 15 times in the last week, never speaking when we answer the phone.Thank goodness i looked this up and now know who it is.

I get Marie Brighton calls from 312-775-1288.  I have not answered and glad I don't after reading comments.  I am also on a Do Not Call List - so why are they bothering to call?  Should I report them?

Marie Brighton is the Panel Director at Synovate, which is a survey research company at which I work. If an interviewer is calling on behalf of Marie Brighton at Synovate, they are calling to ask you to take a survey.  It is not a scam.  It is also not illegal.  If you are on the National Do Not Call Registry, it does not cover surveys;  it only covers telemarketers, who are trying to sell you something.  Synovate will never try to sell you anything.  However, if you tell the interviewer that you don't want Synovate to call ever again, they will put you on our internal Do Not Call List and you won't receive any more calls.
