If you call the number back you immediately get a voice mail saying you've reached "academic advising" and all you can do is leave a message

Have received 3 calls from that number now.  How do I stop it?

They call me three times a day for the past week, Ive yet to answer them. Ive also placed my number on the do not call list. Any ideas to stop it?

Keep getting unwanted calls from this number. Tried to call back and text to stop calling. Failed. Also on the do not call list.

Have been pestered via email & phone ever since clicked on Cabela's coupon a week ago. Either Cabela's has a bug or they're giving out my info.

I've been getting the same calls. A while back 313 & 586 area codes covered same area. If you look up same # with 586 area code it is academic advising at a college. Could they be using old phone # to pester people?

I answered and they hung up on me!!

Received calls from this mber twice today and no message when I did not answer.

I get 2 to 3 calls per day on my cell phone, and another 2 to 3 calls on my house phone, Some gal with broken English starts talking, I just hang up, or ignore after seeing who's calling.

Got a call From Academic Advisor, asking me questions so they can connect me with a school. I told them I was not interested in going to school and they persisted, and said well do you want to go back in the next 3 to 6 months. My answer was No and they hung up.

Clicked on a job in an email from Beyond.com and was taken to a page about a school or some educational opportunity (not sure which as I clicked no thank you).  Within 20 minutes, I received a call from Academic Advising.  I have now unsubscribed from Beyond.com emails and removed my profile from their site. I will never use their service again now that I know third parties not only receive notification, they also receive personal details of users who visit the page.  Extremely poor business practice on the part of Beyond.com.  

Unfortunately, it will be WEEKS before they stop calling and/or sending emails. The same thing happened here.

We ended up calling the offices of Beyond.com and threatened them with a harassment lawsuit if they did not stop.

It worked, eventually!

They just called AGAIN!  Their first call was at 4:18 PM and the second call at 5:09 PM.  I am a grad student and not interested in their services; therefore, they need to leave me alone.  My number is on the do not call registry so once I am done with this report, I am reporting the DNC violation.  I have not done business with them so they do not have permission to call me.  My next call will be a lawyer as this IS harassment!  

When they called me Dec 18,th 2013 @11:45 am I told them I wasn't interested in furthering my education. The young lady kept talking as if I said nothing. I asked if she heard what I said and after a brief pause she hung up. She called back at 12:15 pm and hung up when I answered.  The call came in again at 12:40, I was asked for by name and when I acknowledged who was she asked how was doing today and I asked to speak with her supervisor. She paused , said no then hung up on me. Each time I tried to call the number back it goes to a voice prompt that states " if you would like to unsubscribe press 1" , then you are asked to enter your 9 digit phone number and press #. Which I did.  The call disconnected. At this point I feel harassed and will go to great lengths to stop this from happening further.

I totally agree with you. It is HARRASSEMENT!!!! You have my support in getting this stopped!!

If you post on a job search website, and Im not sure which one it is, because today I have used a few different ones, you will get these calls. They sell your info. UGH

Seriously, they are calling me 7 days a week and hanging up even if I try to answer to scream at them. This is harassment!

You'd be better off just acting interested and seeing exactly who they are, what schools they represent, and then file complaints with the people who are paying them to call you (the schools).  With that information, you can also file a complaint with the FTC (federal trade commission) on their handy complaint form.at www.ftc.gov.

I put these kinds of numbers into my contact list with a "z" in front so it goes to the bottom of the list and then in "options" have it go directly to voicemail.  They never leave a message so....voila' they are basicly GONE!

I've been receiving calls from this #, at least once an hour for about 4 days...stops about 9 pm, and starts back up at 8 am sharp...not only is it very nerve racking, it disturbs me sleep, since I'm a day sleeper...on the I.D. it just shows 'DETROIT, MI.'
