two calls from this number, they never  leave a message which is highly annoying!

The guy I spoke with stated it was a Collections call for my wife, he stated he was calling in regards to a Verizon bill.  They called my work Cell Phone looking for her and couldn't even pronounce her name correctly, Kirstin, I know hard.  He stated there was a $250 outstanding balance my wife had in 1999, it's 2014, 15 years ago.  He offered a settlement of $200 to clear this.  I informed him that after 10 years, they can no longer attempt to collect this debt.  This company buys outstanding debts over 10years for pennies on the dollar, then use scare tactics on the phones to get you to settle with them and they make a profit.  They probably paid $30 for this debt and were looking to clear $200.  These items are already removed from your credit history and have no bearing.  Scam company, it is happening far to often these days.  They then asked for my address and my wife's phone number, which I would not give them.  

Said he was from a collection agency.  ask for last 4 ss#, told him not a chance in hell and that I am forwarding his # to homeland security because they are terrorizing people!!!!    don't  hear back from these jerks
