what is the purpose of this kind of call

Just a phone call answer and nothing people posted its a sprint Debt collector.... I have never dealt with sprint

No message was left in voicemail. When I called back, a woman answered by saying, "hello?", and didn't give me her name, said she was calling for Verison and needed the last 4 of my ssn before she could continue. I told her I hadn't had version for 3 years and had a zero account balance. She insisted she needed my last 4 digits of my ssn. I told her when she had more information, she could call me back. I feel certain it's a scam trying to collect personal information.

Did not answer. No message left. Scam???

Staff is rude and will not tell you who they are and said they have all my info and soc sec # I find these threatening calls very disturbing . So everyone who can open this screen has my soc sec number and personal info and one even hung up on me cause I demanded to know other got rude once she found out my name and also hung up after telling me she had ALL my info and appropriate action will be taken -
