I want to know where the number is from because I am doing a financial transaction with the owner of the number

Ohhhhhh!. . . .I got a bad feeling about this! What is the 'nature' of your financial transaction? If no one else says anything - I'm going to: Are you trying to buy something, get a loan, make a payment, been promised a Government Grant, Lottery win, Prize, Vacation rental, home/apartment rental? - Do they want you to send money by Western Union, Money Gram, Green Dot, Money Pak (ANY form of cash wire transfer), Prepaid credit card, withdraw from Bank account? If you say YES to any of section (I'm trying to) and say YES to any of the (I'm paying by) - - - It's a scam. Guarantee 100%.

It's a scam they trying get me to , they sent a fake check out to my house . Telling me they wanted me to be their nanny for three year old son And they live in North America and they moving near me March the 21

Me too!! I put the check in an overnight ATM to deposit it. What should I do, it hasn't gone through yet

Call your bank NOW, and have them hold the check (do not deposit it).

Instead of cashing the check, or sending it back, take it and the envelope in which it came to the post office.  They will use it as evidence and pursue the scammer.

Its a scam. The other number associated with mine was 5153370823. I was "hired" as a nanny from care.com and was sent a check from a company that was supposedly handling the move of this family. The website for this company shows no real information and the number look up comes straight to here. Like most of you I was told the family would be arriving on the 21st with no real specifics. I asked questions about the family and the three year old son I was supposedly going to take care of, but no answers. A real parent would have done a much further background check other than taking the person's word for it.

Please, no one else fall for this.

If you have not spent the any of the money you should be okay. Notify your bank to put a hold on the check because you believe it to be fraudulent. This should prevent any charges against you. Once it has been deemed fraudulent on their end they should just deduct the whole thing and you'll be fine. Speak to them to verify this.

Take the check to your bank - DO NOT deposit it! - give it to them to investigate.
