I've found a simple technology to stop this - first, go to any sporting goods store and buy a referee's whistle. Then, answer the call and play along until you have a real live person. Once you have a live person on the line, hold the phone away from your own ear and blow the whistle into the receiver. Then say, "NOW HOLD THE PHONE UP TO YOUR GOOD EAR AND LISTEN - STOP CALLING ME!" Works every time.

Sep. 7, 2016 - Caller ID said 313-788-1133. Called my cell number that is on the national DNC list. I heard it ring bu could not answer the phone, and no message was left. I have been getting many unwanted and prerecorded calls, including calls like this where no message is left.

Get a call blocking app. Do not answer unknown calls and do not call them back.
