Somehow I’m making calls to this number. It’s not on my house phone logs but is on my spectrum database outbound call logs.

This is happening to us also.  I contacted Spectrum/Charter and they said that they are "ghost calls" and that the phone modem needs to be replaced,  "For some reason the modem is sending out calls and it usually has to do with security systems but not always. To get this to stop, you would need a new modem."  I was told to take the phone modem to local office and exchange it for a new one, install it and then Spectrum will have to reactivate it for it to work.  This should solve issue.....

The same thing is happening to me. Spectrum says it can't happen.  ?????

Calls are on my spectrum call list as made from my phone to the number 314-394-2018.  BUT WE ARE NOT MAKING THEM !!!!!!!!!!!  Pectrum says this cannot happen, BUT IT DOES. Ten times just in the last week,

I just spoke with a very respectful and thoughtful Spectrum tech rep who called the number.  He then identified it at the number we call when we checking our voicemail using our handset phone.
So it is showing your outgoing phone call to check your voicemail.

i did use *99 at that time to check voicemail.

I didn't call this number but it shows up as if I did. About the time of this call, I received a voice message saying that McAfee Support was calling to tell me that my credit card was going to be charged and that I should call 716-589-0863. I am not using McAfee.
Earlier today I did not pick up calls from odd area codes:
(587) 267-2273 and
(716) 589-0863.

This is the number that registered on my call log when I dialed in from my home phone to my voice mail

(314) 394-2018 I didn't call this number but it shows up as if I did.  Three calls already today, showing up.

This number appears on outgoing call log every time I check voicemail.

Says I made an outgoing call to this number on my Spectrum call log.  Did not call.

When you pickup your voice mail this number shows up. When I call "Star99", this number is where it goes I think. Apparently this location is where it stores the mail. What surprises me is that Spectrum doesn't say so.

This number has been on my outgoing call logs from Spectrum since I started the landline. Once a day. The thing that struck me is the length of time these calls are listed as I've seen them 1083min 20s but the best one was over 21,000 minutes! I never did the math but I don't think there are that many in a day!
