Received a call; unfamiliar number; "out of area" on Caller ID; did not pick up. They did not leave message.

Inadvertently answered this call.  A man with an America accent said he was calling from the National Police Department Fund.  I said, “No you’re not”.  He started his spiel anyway.  As he was talking, I told him he was a scammer and the number would be blocked.  Which it is, now.  Not sure why all these “V” Caller IDs show up but with my phones, the phone number shows too.

Caller ID: Unknown Name, no message.

Caller identified themselves as from the National Police Department. They were fundraising for officers injured in the line of duty. Pressured to make a donation and they wanted to send me out a donation kit.  I said no and asked that my number be removed from the list for any further calls. However, they've called back and evidently my number is still on their list. I do not trust this number.

"Kenneth" who claims to be calling for the MO Chapter of National Police Support Fund Raising Center wanting funds “to restore respect for our great American police officers.” "527" organization. Transferred to "Tracy Baker" when I called back and requested more information. She knew nothing but gave me the headquarters number in Alexandria, VA: 866-487-4515. Called that number. Person who answered also could tell me nothing. I asked why I should want to give. No answer. I asked why she thought respect needed to be restored, she said she could not express her opinion. In other words, no answer. I doubt this is a genuine charitable organization.

Essentially a scam. Blocked.

a lady called. I told her to stop calling me but she kept talking. I hung up and will not answer again.
