I asked the name of the employer but they did not provide me any informantion. I told them I was bussy. They asked me to call back but I won't.

I was looking for an Assistant Production job, they offered this job so I gave them my name, address, phone number, etc. Later while I was filling the application I realize they wanted to offer me information about different Universities where I could study so I believe they trick you offering a job but what they really want is to sell you information about College.
Today they call me, they said it was a job application I filled on line then I realize it was this company again because they asked me if I have bachelor degree. - alionkaI got a call from this # today 9-15-08 at 11 am, I missed this call, and they did not leave a message... but when later I looked what the area cod is 314 and what company it could be (I'm looking for a job as weell), I've found all those comments abowe... Why would some one from Missouri call me in Maryland to offer something??? Well, defenetely, I'm not calling back and not answering.... thanks guys!

- janamber| 1 replyI agree with GH. I applied for a couple of admin jobs I found on Cragislist, the "employer" emailed me almost immediately and asked me to fill out an online application
http://greatcareerpaths.com/joboffer/register.cfm?jobpositionid=50589 giving out my name, address, phone number. Now I feel stupid. I hope I don't get anymore calls from these guys. Grrr.- Caller: don't know
- jobseeker| 2 repliesSo, this is all a scam? I've gotten bombarded by phone calls and emails. I can't get rid of them. It was from that company listed above- greatcareerpaths.com. All I want is a job- I don't need more education. I need income- why take advantage of those looking? What good will putting me back into school do? I'm a single parent, my daughter can't eat school books.
These people are ridiculous.
I tried calling it today- not realizing- and it told me the 'circuits were busy' which is funny, because employers don't have that many people calling in!! - almost deerseason| 1 replyits a # that belongs to an online group contracted by online universities and debt sollutions companies. they surf monster career builder etc... looking for #S to call. they also send out phony application via craigslist using fake company names to lure unsuspecting people in. they try to get alot of sensitive information out of you so dont answer/ call back because they are shady. I have received things via email too b/c my email address is on my resume. if you come across sketchy applications on craigslist flag them, report them, and forward them to inetrnet fraud watchdog groups. these a$$ holes make alot of money from online universities and bothering people isnt the way to do it.
- Does not want to be known| 2 repliesThis is a number from a company called Employment Select. They are calling in regards to an application that you filled out online. The main goal of this number is to try to sucker you into signing up for online schools. The jobs do not exist. They are made up companies that do not exist. Please be aware! Do not fall for the scam!
- Caller: Employment Select
- mizaI got a call from this number 9-16-08 at 9am, and nobody was there. I applied to different entry level positions and got a lot of emails to go and fill in applications, which have the same front page where you have to give your contact information, even though they are on my resume. The emails were from: The Career Hub, Copper Career, Career Royal, Pop Up Careers.
- trunkYep, it's a scam based on job applications or resume submissions.
Here in Albany I came across on Craigslist a couple of jobs whose rate of pay was too good to be true, paying $12.00- 14.00 for $9.00 or 10.00 work.
After responding to the first one, and they usually have someone's name with a gmail.com address, I got a response from a site called Career
Hub, which is where the scam really takes off, asking a lot of questions that aren't relevant, asking about your educational goals, with an implication that educational beenfits might be a perk of the position.
Of course, that's never stated outright, but somebody ought to box these folks' ears, cuz they are wasting a job hunter's time and energy.- Call type: Unwanted
- MLCI too received a call from this number. I answered but the party apparently hung up as I only heard a beeping noise. I have applied for many jobs online from both craigslist and monster. I always check "NO" on all questions about continuing education and/or debt relief. This is the first I have heard of this scam but since I have had no legitimate job offers, I am beginning to believe I have been scammed.
