I believe this is a recruitment company; I had applied to a few jobs online (jobs.com, hotjobs, monster, etc) and that's when I started getting these. They say they've tried calling before, but this was their first call, also on 9-15-08, at 9:47AM.

I also got this call today, stating that they had called before when they havent. Sadly my voice mail on my cell cut off the first half of the message. But I have to agree with old dude above (Mike) that its a recruitment company of some kind. But so far anytime I call back to get any kind of info the lines busy.

How in heck do we know that this is not a terrifying scam where the number we have to call back is a premium dial number costing $1,000s per minute? There is no other information out there on this and what I have just described is technically possible.

I answered my cell phone getting a call from this number. It was an automated system telling me "I recently applied for a job posting for a company they are recruiting for, that they have left me 1 message prior (they did not), it gave me the phone number to call back, then paused" I assumed the the call was over & as I pulled the phone away from my ear to hang up I heard additional talking but hit the button before I realized they had not hung up. I called the number back from a different phone & got "all lines busy". My guess is this is a scam & they are trying to see if the info works or something worse.

Got the call today at 2:04 pm, pretty much the same thing everyone else got, they said they had called before when they actually have not. I got to speak with someone they were verifying information about an application I put in- the only place that I keep hearing is Monster.com- I did not go through YahooJobs. I spoke with Maria that went through my information and asked me who my cell carrier was and was I planning on going back to school she asked the name of my employer now but didn't want any contact information for them and then giggled when I told her I didnt feel comfortable giving out that information, probably because the answer to the question she was looking for, I had already answered, such as who my cell phone carrier is and am I going back to school. DEFINITELY a scam .. don't trust it. Now I am just nervous about what my cell phone bill is going to look like.

They called me after applying for jobs online. I called back. It is a company called Employment Select they run prescreens for employment. I didnt stay on the line to hear the b.s but I suspect they want a card # and to charge for a prescreen for employment ie a credit and background check ect.

This is a number from a company called Employment Select.  They are calling in regards to an application that you filled out online.  The main goal of this number is to try to sucker you into signing up for online schools.  The jobs do not exist.  They are made up companies that do not exist. Please be aware!  Do not fall for the scam!

Got a call from this number about 11:45am. No message was left but I'm assuming this is in response to a Craig's List employment ad that I filled out previously. The site that I was linked to through the CL ad seemed less than legit but I gave it a try anyway since they didn't ask for any more information than was available through a Google search.

I got one of these messages on my phone this morning. I started having doubts when the message said that their client wanted to remain confidential until they determined whether or not to continue on with the interview process. So then I decided to google the number, and I found this website! Now I'm really glad I didn't call them back.

These aliens are operating through our cell phones. They call us and when we answer they shoot this probe into our brains to control us and prevent us from being too inquisitive. They look like us--act like us--dress like us. The only way to tell if they are actual " Aliens " is their " Obama for President " paraphernalia.

This is a scam.  I applied for a job on Craig's List (phony email address) which in turn forwarded my resume to career-corner.com which then rerouted the information to jobproapp.com (site does not exist) requesting more information.  Basic information was supplied originally and now I am getting calls from this number wanting to verify employment.

It is not a scam, the company is Qualxserve they out source for IBM. You probabley put in an application ro an IT position. they use GO2IT as there recruiters who assigns you projects. Right now I'm do Best Buy projects install wireless scanners and new printers. You get a minimum of four hours, even if it takes you less. The only drawback is it taks two weeks to get your check. Both companys have .com websites if you want to check them out.
