- ON DO NOT CALL LIST - 2009I have been registered on the do not call list since 2009 and still get these calls. I tell them to stop calling and that I am on the "list" but it doesn't seem to hinder them from calling from a different number the next week. I even reported one number to the FCC that called me seven times and the dates of the calls. Now there is a new one. I continue to be disappointed in the way the government is handling this nuisance so I continue to handle it myself by putting them on my call blocker. We don't even own the car they are calling about any more!! I am pretty sure Toyota had something to do with this, like selling our info to this unscrupulous company. I believe there is a place to register to "opt out" of the selling of info so I will do that as well.

- Never againThese are all different contractors trying to sell you a very expensive extended warranty, and they have obviously gotten your contact information from the car dealer that you purchased from. The next time I buy a car, I'm asking about their privacy clause with regard to my contact information. You should too. They know you purchased a car, they know what make and model of car you purchased, they know when your warranty expired, and they know your contact info. Who else would they get that info from?

- ArchangelThey're a scam - who else calls saying they're offering to renew my extended auto warranty when I don't even have an extended auto warranty with these clowns? They must buy lists of auto ownership information and then do these damn robocalls - who ever is selling our info needs to go to jail for breach of confidentiality - of course, it's probably the goons at the state vehicle registration department doing it

- ToneSame [***] here---they are sub-humans that can't find an honest job
- MariaEDidn’t answer but can see from above it was the “auto warranty” folks again. Not one day after I used Safelight Auto windshield repair and had to give them my cell as I was traveling when my windshield got damaged, I started getting calls from these people. They are NOT robocallers either. They know my name, my cell number, the exact make, model and year of my vehicle. The ONLY way they know this is either Safelight or someone else (can’t think of who though) sold them that information. Just another example of how corporate interests continue to trump the interests of us average folks. We are nothing but lambs to the slaughter of their never-ending greed.

- Tony replies to PhilPhil, I normally Don't purchase an extended warranty. But recently I purchased a used vehicle, the Stealership tried selling me a warranty, I refused. Well it was late , they had closed and still had 2 more deals waiting, so I signed my required paperwork and left with the vehicle. On my drive home my navigation system went out. I was up the creek without a paddle, I had bought as is. In the a.m. Took my vehicle to an independent shop where they found suspension parts the looked in fair shape but surly wouldn't last 12K miles. Long story short, returned to the dealer and they allowed me to buy their cheapest warranty with 100.00 deductible. I returned 3 months later and had 3500.00 with of repairs. Btw the warranty cost me 1800.00

- Yetiman15650Numerous calls wanting to sell me an extended warranty. The alarming part is they know the year, make, and model of my car. This leads me to believe that they got my name and number from the dealer or local auto parts store. How else would they know my info? When I asked how they got my information, they rudely hung up. It is definitely a call center because there are others " marketing" in the back ground. Now if I do not recognize the number on my caller ID I do not answer. But they have the ability to mask a number in my own area code, so the calls keep on coming.

- JUDY HOFFMANSame thing, many calls thru out the day, and tell them no a 1000 times and they keep calling back, maybe I should invest in a whistle and answer it with that!!!! Tired of it!!
- Debi WilsonvilleCalled AGAIN today & I answered. Said my 2011 vehicle was out-of-warranty and they needed to sell me extended coverage. Told them the vehicle was sold & to quit calling!

- mrMan called about missing a fax regarding a car. When I asked him to slow down and speak clearly, he hung up. I called back and got a recording that the number was disconnected.

- JoeyDee replies to DaveDon't bother trying. The car-warranty scam is well known. You can Google it for more information.
These calls are probably untraceable and originating overseas. I suggest you stop answering when they call, never call back (that only validates your number as "live") and look into call blockers for your cell phone. There are lots of them that are free and work very well. - Stevob*tch hung up on me after I told her to F off. scammer about a car warranty. phone number does not allow a call back.

- MichelleFour calls from this number in less than 24 hrs. When I tried to call it back, it says number is no longer in service. From the comments here, it's spam. I have now added the number to my call rejected list.
- MylonReceived a call this afternoon from this number. I was informed the caller was calling from the Warranty Activation Department. I asked "The Warranty Activation Department of what firm?" She repeated the same line of her script, and said "I am calling from the Warranty Activation Department." BTW: she asked for me by name.
Each time we went through this, I asked the same question regarding the Warranty Activation Department of what firm. Sounding exasperated, she stated "Sir, I'm going to end this call because I'm trying to give you information, and all you do is keep repeating the same question!" She then hung-up.
Clearly a fraud and a scam. Avoid like the plague, and be sure to file complaints.- Call type: Telemarketer
- -Spam call for aftermarket auto insurance. My number is on the do not call registry. Reporting to FCC.

- JBReceived multiple calls from the National Warranty Extension company today at work. I get a call from random numbers at least once a week at work regarding extending my warranty. Each time, I ask them politely to take me off their call list. Today I got hung up on when I asked. Rude! Each week goes by and I get another call from another number with the same story.... We see you haven't extended your warranty...
Seriously, how do I get off their call list?- Caller: National

- PeggyReceived numerous calls from these Extended warranty underwriters. I have told them I want to be put on their do not call list but that has gotten me nowhere. What is really amazing is they are telling me that my warranty is about to run out on a vehicle that I haven't owned for over a year now & they also tried to sell me a warranty on a vehicle that I haven't owned for about 3 years. But what is really the best thing is I work at the car dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. They make it seem like the dealership has them calling to let me know that my car is about to be out of warranty and that I don't have any other means of getting an extended warranty on my vehicle. I have said they do not have the right to be calling me as I have stated that I am on the do not call list and request everytime that I accidentally answer that I want to speak to their manager as this is a scam they always hang up on me but as others have noted it is several different offices that they are calling from. These companies do not have any ties to the manufacturers-they are buying registration lists and calling people from these reports. Please - please Do not purchase an extended warranty from these people.
