This number is supposed to be for Facebook customer service. But... it is also supposed to be for Hewlett Packard customer service, and for Norton's customer service, and customer service for a slew of other companies. It is placed in New Jersey, but in a few places is New York. I checked this online. The caller was mumbling and I could hear a child in the background crying. When I asked what he wanted, he asked for information as what is my name, email address, didn't say what he wanted. I believe he had an Indian accent, maybe Pakistani, not sure. Not sure what this person/persons are doing. Just didn't seem like a real customer service, if you ask me. I mean, with a child screaming in the background? I did NOT give the person information, BTW. I just wanted to mention this here, in case someone gets a similar call.

I was needing help with 'facebook' and looked for a customer service for facebook.  This number was what I found.  A man who said he was from India but working in New York said he'd help me with the problem I was having.  He did spend quite sometime .... and he took over my computer... (which now scares me... as well as having my telephone number and email address)....  At the end of the conversation came the punch line as I owed him 59.99 for the service...  89.99 for a year of service.  I balked and said there had been no information about a fee ahead of time and I'd pay nothing...  After a 'discussion' he hung up on me.   I'm wondering now how much harm I did myself in having let him into my computer... and gave my information....    I should have known better.... but.... assumed is what I did.

Another INDIAN SCAMMER posts garbage.  A mod will be deleting it shortly.….looks like they keep trying!!

FB would publish a legimate support phone thus subjecting cyber vulnerability. All the profitz and too cheap to have live customer service???

Only a Scammer would want Remote Access to give a Refund.

Never allow anyone Remote Access unless you know them to be reputable!
Scammers can lock you out and hold your computer ransom by changing your login password or with Syskey (Microsoft SAM Lock Tool).

• Microsoft error and warning messages never include phone numbers. ANY Tech Support Warning pop-ups you get while accessing the internet asking you to call a number or visit a website, is from a SCAMMER.
• Web Browsers DO NOT have the ability to determine and warn you your computer has an error. They can only warn you about a potential malicious website. A Browser is software that allows you to surf the Internet, not diagnose a computer or phone.
• ANY Tech Support company that insists you need their services because of some error, outdated software or tries to convince you that you need to allow them remote access is a SCAMMER.
• Nobody could possibly know if your computer or devices have an issue unless you tell them or gave them access.
• Tech Support companies DO NOT call or email to give out refunds because they are "going out of business", or to "cancel a subscription".  Companies DO NOT give refunds unless they have to.
• Companies DO NOT call to inform you that your subscription will be charged if you don't call back, only SCAMMERS do that. If you have a subscription with someone, they automatically charge you until you cancel it and they don't give a refund.
• Only a Scammer would want Remote Access to give a Refund.
• 3rd party Tech services DO NOT include Email account repairing or password resetting, since they can not access the email server unless it belongs to them.

Never trust a caller who wants to "help your computer" for any reason (unless you contacted them first), as they are only going to scam you. If you need Tech Support, you should contact a reputable local service.
