BLOOP ... Skype call from no one I know out of an area I know no one in.  I picked up and they said nothing after the bloop.  Not sure how they make money from this ?

They make money by you answering. Your number has now been logged by a computer as real, live, and someone will answer an unknown incoming number. Your number goes on a sheet of numbers which are sold for between $5 and $7. THAT is how they make money from this, as a computer can make millions of phone calls a day. Money adds up fast. But instead of 'bloop' it's 'ka-ching!'.
