I got the same call and this is a scam.

Got the same call, for a GOVT GRANT (that you do not have to pay back!!).  As soon as I can get to a local Walgreens and buy a voucher card, (to give to the FED EX delivery person) then I was supposed to call this number back and FED EX would come right out with this check and go with me to a bank to cash it.  Really?  Since when would you have to pay a $199 fee to get 'FREE" MONEY?  By the way, I was to receive $9200 for basically being a good citizen, paying my taxes and mortgages on time.  What a hoot!!

I read about this scam on the internet, got a great idea from someone else they tried to scam.  Stay on the line and stall for time so they rack up long distance charges on their end.  Eventually, they will hang up on you instead.

keep getting call from this number. Ask to speak to me .When i answer they hang up.

Getting numerous calls from this person or whatever they are I would tell them to stop pestering me or I  will tell the authorities. So leave me alonee

Received a call from this number 315-285-4202 about the government had selected me along with 1600 other people to receive a grant for $9,000 for free. They gave me a confirmation number and told me to call 360-347-1808 and that would be my point of contact to get the money. Just wanted to get it out there so someone doesn't actually believe these people.

Because this number had called me so many times, I played along with their scam to a point.  I was told that I was randomly selected by the US Government to receive $9,000.  I told this person, who was obviously calling from a call center in India, I was very excited and asked what I needed to do.  He told me I need to write down the Government Approval Confirmation Code of NA707.  He then wanted to confirm my address and actually had my address.  At this point, I was furious that he had my personal information and told him to immediately take me off of their call list.  He said this call is being recorded.  I told him again to never call me again.  He hung up.

This is what happens when US and Canadian companies outsource customer service to overseas call centers. Some of the employees of these call centers copy the customer information and take it home. Then they get a Magic Jack or other VoIP account that lets them make hundreds of calls to the US for a low price.  Using the information they stole from their employer, they run these scams with just enough information about you to sound somewhat credible.

The guy on the other end of the line said "F@-k you" to my special needs daughter!

My mom got two calls from these Jack [***], asking her how many kids she had.  She hung up on them and didn't answer when they called her a 2nd time.

They called me with the same stupid "grant" line. He said he was calling from Washington D.C. I said "no you're not!" He hung up.

I was called by this number three time. I didn't answer any of these calls since I didn't recognize the number. I googled this number and found this website. I figured if this call was important enough for them to call three times they could leave a message. They didn't leave a message so I figured it wasn't important.

Report them, they will get somebody with this scam

I just received the same call from this number claiming the same thing about the government grant.

I read that last year this number was trying to get people to pay for a "free" grant.  This morning the robot call said something about a case file in the message that was cut off.  Obviously scammers.

I got a message saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and I needed to return this call immediately or my wages would be garnished.
