They said I owe money from a cash advance loan that I had already paid back. Then they said they already have my social security number. They said I need a very good attorney to win this. They also said than my identity was stolen.

This b**chs called me asking for my hubby and I said well i deal with his legal issues.. he then said we can not give you any info and hung up on me.. so i called back. A new guy answered and said you owe this much money and if not paid by tomorrow we are taking it to court and you will have to appear here in court (in California) and i said well i live in ohio. so that will not be possible. so he wanted me to fax him all my debit card info and set up payment arrangements.. glad i read the other comments on here!!! these people tried to scare me by claiming that i owed them money and that if i didn't pay them they would be taking me to court and getting my money there. when i tried to get the iformation like the acct # where the money went into the date the amount and who lent it to me, they started saying they couldn't give me that info and all these other threats and that they'd see me in court. anyone who gets calls from these people need to record them and take them to their police dept. its a bunch of bs. thank god i went to my bank they really helped me out. shout they really scared me. oh and this guy plays like 3 different people.

same damn thing a phone scam telling me i owed 400$ from an old payday loan i recieved from ez-loan.net, and for one i never heard of them and another i never recieved a loan!!!!! caller claims his name was danny smith with a foriegn accent (indian,middle eastern???)

got a voicemail from this number (315-285-9114) saying to call back or good luck.  i called back and they told me i needed to pay $685.64.  They said i didnt pay back a loan and i needed to pay it back or i would got court for 3 counts of fraud.  i let them know i do not have any outstanding loans. i also told them ive paid any and all my loans and have reciepts to prove it.  he got upset and hung up on me.  i called them back and again asked questions,  they said that someone has stolen my idenity.  the crazy thing is they verifed my last 3 digits of my checking acct number and the last four on my SS #.  i started asking for specifcs like when and how much money was the loan for and they couldnt answer any questions.  they said i had to pay them first.  they asked me to fax them my debit card info and my DL.  once i did that they said they would provide me with all the details bout my loan.  they said i had an hour to do it.  at that point i got fed up and said if you guys cant tell me dates and how much was lent to me, then take me to court.  i called my bank and they said this was for sure a scam and asked if i did give'em any info.  of course i didnt, my bank said they were using a "fishing" tactic and told me to call the police.  i called the police and they said theyve been recently recieving many calls like mine and they would continue to look into it.  
i wish these b@stards the worst in life.  how can they steal people hard earned money and information!

This person calledwhich I was not home at time and could hardly hear him let alone understand him said I must call back , I must not disregard this phone call . Sorry buddy untill you tell me your name and business you ain't getting a call back .

They called my place of employment again and left a message with the supervisor's office that I needed to call Charles Wale?

Do I have any legal recourse to get these people out of my life?  Help.

block your number and tell him to go to hell and you will call the cops. then tell him you will request INTERPOL to help the authorties.

not really. The guy calling is most likely from the middle east. the phone number is based in Clayton Ny. Just tell him to go to hell and not to call back.

this guy will ask for your credit card or debit card number as well as the three digits on the back of your card. then they will ask you to fax a letter to a number in the Seattle Washington area, giving permission to use your information. tell them to go to hell and not to call again or you will notify the police.

they called me at my place of employment, could NOT understand a word they said, and this guy kept saying there is a lawsuit against your social security number and name. I just had my wallet / personal items stolen from me about 3 weeks ago in TX at my father in-laws funeral. my cousins car got burglarized, and only MY stuff got stolen. so i am really concerned with idenity theft ( i have lifelock ) and so i reported it to them; and they are on the look out....so I called the number back, and they told me i HAD TO CALL IMMEDIATELY to a ronnie cooper. i called and he wasnt available. the person i talked to i couldnt understand a lick of what he said. so......SCAM

First this Haji guy who I couldnt understand, calls my work (I work with the military) and my commander answers the phone and all he hears is my name and that Im getting sued. My commander  looks at me like Im in deep sh*t and then tells me I have a phone call. I answer it and the jack A** on the other end keeps telling me to "speak louder" and so after hearing that a few times I tell him maybe if he could SPEAK ENGLISH he could understand me without me having to yell. He then tells me I have to call Ronnie Cooper- which I do. This guy has my date if birth, social, place of employment......... I told him unless he wats to be sued for harrassement and fraudulant information- he'd better lose my number. After a few more minutes of listening to him tell me I BETTER get an attorney in regards to my social and some cash advance crap- I went off and told him I couldnt wait to go back to Iraq where we could meet face to face and I'd really show how much I appreciate his harrassing phone calls.

I have gotten these calls also. It is very scary being told there are criminal complaints against you.  I got a call from a person who name last week was John Harris but today has a new personaly, Dan Smith.  This person 1st called my cell phone, then call my direct work #, then called the receptionist, then the customer service number AT WORK!!!!!  I have received other calls which I ignored.  All of people have had very heavy accents that are almost impossible to understand.  When speaking to "Dan" i was told the same, that they need my attorney info or "good luck".  when I asked what it was about, "Dan" would only repeat that they have criminal complaints but would not say who/what/when they were for.  The telephone number i was provided last week was is 619-399-0198 but the call would not go through from my home, my work, or my cell phone.  Today, it was a different # (same person though) 315-285-9114.  It must be a scam.

i received a message from 315-285-9114 on my work telephone. when i called it back, i was told that i was speaking to Dan Smith and that i have 3 counts of criminal fraud against me. At first, i was a little nervous becausr he sounded so serious. This Dan Smith guy told me that if i do not pay back (forget exactly how much it was) that i was going to be taking to court and or have my funds garnished.. is he effing serious.. i couldnt recall ever getting a loan from any payday loan and i was extremly sure that i didnt see any extra funds in my account.. I asked this Dan Smith when the money was supposed to be put in there and some type of other information regarding this and he couldnt give me anything. I called my bank shortly after to make sure there were no red flags on my account. I called them back to harrass him and he went off.. i was all types of names until he hung up on me.. lol. Thats when i realized this guy cannot be serious. this has to be some type of scam. so today i check my answering machine again and its the same guy. I called Dan Smith back, this time he said he need to speak with my retained attorney i asked him to stop calling my job and told him that i would seek police action. as soon as i hung up i googled his telephone # and these postings are what i found.. i really hope this guys stops calling me and really doesnt have any way to hack into my accounts and mess things up for me!

I dont think they can hack into your account, because if they could, they would not have called us to get the rest of our information. All they had of mine was the last four digits of my social and my routing number thru my bank but wanted me to give them my whole account number and last three digits on the back of my card. They also use the names George Davison, John Anderson and Ron Anderson, and it sounds like a lot of people in the back ground and they will also shuffle papers to make it seem legit like they're going thru your file. As long as you have not given them any more info, you should be fine, unfortunately the calls prob wont stop for a while. They have been calling me for about two months now and they will tell the same thing to anyone who answers the phone hoping someone will pay for you and give them some kind of information. Sadly there have been people who has sent them money. Glad we were smart enough not to.

He said his name was Stewart Brown, couldn't understand him. He said there is a lawsuit pressing against me. He called my cell and my employer.

I received a call from this number as well as another stating the same thing. They were harassing me at work and on my home phone. I called my local non-emergency police line to file a complaint. They said this is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act, and it was a federal crime. The police detective stated to file a complaint of the FTC.gov website as well as the Do Not Call Registry. I did this and it stopped from one number and now they are falling from another.

I just got a call and I work on a FEDERAL INSTALLATION.  These idiots just never give up.  I've had them call me from all over the place.  Last year, I was going to the California Supreme Court.

These people have ben harrasing me sine 2004, i have had 1 payday loan in 2002 from... cant even remember the name but it was paid back, and the calls started, at first i started to pay it untill i checked my account and got rec,pts and copies proving that it was paid, I told them that and they said it was a different loan? which i have nere taken another one since! and now these B@#^!#*! are calling me again! There has ben a Adam Black, Chris Davenport, who shockingly sound the same, (Indian? Mid Estern? Who Knows, The last person i spoke with i got ugly with him and he started yelling in a langue i could not uderstand..... im not one bit racial, but why do people think just because you cant understand what is being said.... It makes them look to chicken to actually say it....Just keep hanging up on them and if they start  calling your work tell your supervisor the situation and if these people call just to please write it down, so you can take it to the police department and report it to the inet scam or have them tell the callers to get f#!*ed and hang up on them too

who are these people??? - they dont even speak very good english and they are leaving messages that I need to have my attorney call them???? for what???
