Caller claims he is with the Treasury Dept...usual scam come on.
Explains why his area code is Syracuse and not Washington as that is the wy our phone system routes calls .

This is a fake call.  I am an attorney in Houston Texas and I just received this call on my office phone number.  I don't know what they want but I do know it is not real.  A Federal Magistrate (as claimed in the recording) or any of Federal, State, or Local Government official or authority is not going to use this form of contact to notice you of any legal issue whether civil or criminal!!!

Just called my cell. I didn't recognize the number. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message. Blocked.

I received a call from a man with a thick accent claiming to be William Oliver, an officer with the Treasury Dept and saying that there is a warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion. He said the IRS reported me because they have made many attempts to reach me about outstanding taxes in the amount of around $5,000 and I have not responded. We have a Ch. 13 Bankruptcy and have been making timely payments to the IRS through a trustee for 2.5 years. When I offered to give him the phone number of the trustee, he backed off and said he will take care of it.  I asked him if he had made a mistake and he said yes, he will take care of it. I have not heard from him again.

I received a voice mail after this number called me. (I never answer phone numbers outside of my area code, if its important you can leave a message and call me back) I listened to the voice mail, he never gave a name or said anything in relation to this being a message for Kristina Blank, or why he was calling. He only said This is a message from the Department of U.S. Treasury and that if I attempted to ignore this call I would be brought in front of a judge and grand jury. Never left his name only a number. Heavy middle eastern accent that made it almost impossible to understand. Scared the hell out of me at first but I always research these numbers before I call them back. Definitely appears to be a scammer.

Got a call from this number claiming it was from the IRS for an "illegal" tax return for last year .... the problem ? I got a 3 month extension ! Haven't even filed for last year yet !

Lady said this is the IRS. This is a time sensitive call. Call this number as soon as possible to stop any legal action. My name is Missy Johnson.

They keep calling me as stating that they are from the IRS and to please call Mr. Johnson.
