They have called frequently and left a message I think about a courtesy call on my ongoing case for back brace (which I could not remember requesting) . I think Medicare scam but sounded polite, American accept, but irritated I am not calling call back .  On the caller ID there is a row below of many small numbers, probably a bogus case number to get me to pick up.

Called and said they were from N.Y.S. Police Association trying to solicit money.

Missed call this time. I see from other comments that others get calls from this number for a lot of reasons All of which I hear from too. The neck brace I also never asked about. The "police officer" seeking donations. Definitely scammers.

If its Police Benevolent Association of New York State that is a LABOR UNION covering ONLY:
State University of NY (SUNY) Police, Environmental Conservation Police, Park Police and Forest Rangers.
Note whats NOT INCLUDED:  NYS Troopers, county, city or local police, EMTs and all Firemen. Chances are 50% or more of the funds you donate will go up in telemarketing expenses smoke, and only the balance will actually benefit the above employees (that is, after the Union itself takes its cut too.) Suggest, if so inclined, you donate directly to your local police, firehouse or EMT units. Skip the large telemarketing machine, robo calls and diffusion of funds. Know who exactly benefits from your contributions (telemarketers, large Unions, fringe police who already have handsome benefits packages paid for by NYS tax payers.)
