I received a call from a mr. cooper stating there was a summons regarding a payday loan I previously applied for. I was toldmy county ramsey county had a summons against me. Caught off guard I made the dumbest mistake and gave out my debit card info for payment arrangements. Robert james & associates was the name they used. I just google the company and found out they are a scam I'm repoting this to FTC

I just got a phone call from a Norm Q. Cooper trying to reach my mom, saying that she listed me as an reference and she witnessed an accident and they would like to talk to her. He gave a number and account number. This is really a  scam.

I am writing this to recind my message I posted about this number and the person's name Mr Cooper I submitted a couple of days ago. I wrote that message due to an unprofessional conversation with an employee at that company and due to the fact theere were other companies online with the same name who reported as scam to get money out of people. However I followed up on the company from this number and they are legit and I would like to sincerely apologize to Mr Cooper for what I said and including his name.

Anne Hill......they are a scam the information about u  is hacked.  The company does not exist and they are out to get all the info they can.  I turned them over to Inland Division of Homeland Security the fraud and forgery unit.....they are under investigation because they are a scam and are going to be federally prosecuted.  The investigaters Officer Forbes has informed me they are gathering more and more evidence against them everyday and they are hacking facebook and bank info.  Do not trust them.  My phone is now with the investigaters and all calls from that number are forwarded to the officer....i even turned over all messages on my machine and cell phone to the officer as evidence.

Got a call from Norm Cooper, said I have a 'Pay Day' loan out & he is a debt collector & is willing to negotiate. He went ahead & conferenced in a 'Mr. Anderson' saying to put a 'hold' on my summons until I get a chance to give him a credit card. He said if I don't give him some type of payment he will send me a summons to my work.

I received a call today, similar to the ones listed here. I gave the caller my information and set up payments last month. He called today to say that my bank refused the payment and that they would be issuing a summons. When I told him he had the correct bank information he said that I provided him fraudulent information and hung up on me. I provided him the correct information for my bank, I think this is a scam.

This company is a scam. they will try to hack information from you creditors and bank info. Be careful

I received a call today, similar to the ones listed here, from a Norm Cooper, and he stated that there was a summons on file in my county and that I had until the end of business on the day that he called to get this settled.  I contacted my county clerk and they informed me that there was no such summons on file, and that I should report this person as they think it may be a scam.  I too have turned the information over to the local authorities.
